It’s too bad that WP is recycling its daily prompts and TCMC has discontinued hers.
So, I thought I could run a small experiment I’ll write and post daily prompts for a month. And anyone can drop a comment with prompts to be added for May. I’ll pin the post until the end of April.
IDK if it’ll work out but it’s worth a try.
April 2026 (one prompt for each day):
- If your current self could give you advice to your 21-year-old self, what would you say in one sentence?
- What’s one thing you’ve learned about yourself from a recent argument or disagreement?
- If money and time weren’t factors, what obscure skill would you master in the next year?
- Write about a book, movie, or show that changed how you see the world.

- Write about a stranger who left a lasting impression on you.
- If your life was divided into chapters, what would the current one be called?
- Write a list of things that feel like home to you.
- How is your life different from one year ago?
- How has failure ever protected you from a path that wasn’t yours?
- What’s the number one regret you don’t want to have before you turn 60? 70? 80?
- What unfinished conversation with someone still echoes inside you?
- Describe the most peaceful place you’ve ever been (real or imagined).
- What are your favorite lyrics from a song and why?
- How do you spend your Sundays?
- What moment reminded you that life is fleeting—and how did that feel?
- If your week had a theme song, what would it be today?
- List all the things you wish you had more time for and the reasons why you don’t have time for them.
- What’s your alter ego’s name and why?
