I’d love to read your responses.

There are a few things that off the top of my head makes things feel like home to me:
- Korean food – living in Korea for months every year with my grandparents, Korean food was something that we ate daily. It reminds me of the good times I’ve had with them.
- Caucasians. I know, it’s weird to say that but I grew up in Minnesota. Land of 10,000 lakes and even more Europeans, thanks to the Homestead Act of 1862. I was deeply surrounded by them throughout the years. Even though I’ve been living in California for a minute, I am still uncomfortable being around so many fellow Asians. It legit weirds me out sometimes.
- Having things in an orderly fashion. I can’t help myself. It makes it harder to think clearly when I have a bunch of things lying around in disarray.
- Wearing socks or slippers inside the house. It’s wild to me that people don’t take their shoes off and would want to track dirt and what not into their beautiful homes.
- Having some sort of pet in the house. I’ve had cats, dogs, guinea pigs, gerbils, rabbits, fish, and birds growing up. Their unconditional welcome every time I come home and their presence alone makes the house feel more full.
- Photos on the walls. I have a dedicated wall of pictures of my family on there. It’s there to remind me of the good times and how special everyone is or was to me.
