Currently listening to: That’s The Way It Is – Céline Dion
When you want it the most there’s no easy way out
When you’re ready to go and your heart’s left in doubt
Don’t give up on your faith
Love comes to those who believe it
And that’s the way it is
Have you ever started liking someone who you previously disliked?

Not really. I usually don’t let it get that far. The moment I feel like I’m not going to vibe with someone, I naturally keep my distance. It’s not out of spite, I just don’t want to invest my time and energy into something that’s not going to lead anywhere.
If anything, I’ve had the opposite happen more often: I start off liking someone, only to eventually realize I don’t like them much at all. Most people are on their best behavior when I first meet them, especially when it comes to dating. Everyone’s charming, agreeable, and polished. And in those early stages, everything can feel exciting, lovestruck, and all brand new. But then the honeymoon phase ends and the rose-colored glasses are removed. People get comfortable. Cracks start to show. And that’s when I really meet the person beneath the surface. Sometimes it’s a pleasant surprise. Other times… it’s not. Â
