I’m a side sleeper in a fetal position. I start off sleeping on my left side and flip flop sides throughout the night.

I’ve always been on the struggle bus when it comes to sleeping next to someone else. As soon as the person slips into bed with me, I become super self-conscious and hyper-aware of everything. I wonder if I’m going to snore, grind my teeth, hog the blankets, or thrash around and prevent them from getting proper sleep.
Even if the other person is happily snoring next to me, I can’t seem to let my guard down. I’m like this with all my ex long-term boyfriends, I am unable to truly relax and fall into a deep sleep… unless I’ve taken some sort of sleep aid or am under the influence of Dramamine.
Tell me I’m not the only one…
Side Position: Fetal
More than 40% of people sleep in this curled-up side-sleeping position. It’s the most common position for women — they’re twice as likely as men to sleep like this. Some research suggests you may be more likely to be warm, friendly, and sensitive, but you also may have a protective shell around you.
