How do you get organized? How do you prioritize your day?

I’d love to read your responses

If you’re familiar with Jenga and Tetris, then you’ll know how I prioritize my day.
Sleep, work, and hygiene are the base. Everything else is stacked on top of this. Pull one out and the whole tower wobbles and has the potential to crash.
At work, the most severe are always seen first. And just when I think I’m almost done, another patient gets admitted, and the blocks keep falling. Unfortunately, my work schedule is subject to change. And ever since I’ve started going to the dentist, my schedule has become even more erratic. Le sigh.
Somewhere in between, I will make an attempt to carve out time to blog and respond to comments. I really do try my best to read everyone’s blog. If I don’t get to it that day, it’ll most likely happen the next day or the day after.
Eating, texting, checking e-mail and scrolling social media, unfortunately, sit on the back burner. All my notifications are silenced because I need to focus or sleep, I don’t always have time to tend to these as often as I would like to. My colleague showed me the number of her unread texts, voicemails, and e-mails and I was relieved to see that I wasn’t the only one who is in the same boat.
Next is scheduling time with friends and fam for concerts, dinners, movies, museums, local events, or a getaway, whenever the stars align and the pieces line up.
I’ve gotten a lot of flack from friends and exes about my volatile schedule and for being physically and emotionally unavailable. I usually preface that I am very busy and that I’m not avoiding them on purpose.
Truth be told, many of my exes broke up with me over this and some friends stopped communicating with me. Some take it personally, some do not. I don’t throw any shade. They’re out there doing their own thing, just like I am… stacking those blocks.
