What have you learned from a fellow blogger?

Prompt created by yours truly.
Feel free to use any prompts for July that I post and/or tag me.
I’d love to read your responses.

I have to say that I learn quite a bit from everyone here. I try to absorb as much knowledge from the bloggers that I read from.

From CJ (bloom.planted.north):

  • change can be good. My real hair color is dark brown but I’ve been dyeing it black because it seems more dramatic since I’m a bit pale and the contrast makes it even more noticeable. But now, I think I’m ready to go back to my natural hair color.
  • what motherhood could look like. I enjoy reading about her and her children. My childhood was not so warm in comparison but it’s the only one I’ve got.

From Iba (Reflections by Iba):

  • how patience works. I don’t really have a lot of that these days. But I see how she’s mindful and patient with her children, letting them grow into themselves… my parents could never.
  • how to be intentional. This is also something that I’m working on so I’m taking notes.

From Jodi/Violet (Thru VIolet’s Lentz):

  • that Alaska is beautiful. It’s definitely on my bucket list.
  • it’s never too late. Never too late to go on adventures, whether it’s picking up my belongings and moving once again.
  • that weaving fiction and autobiography seamlessly is possible. I still don’t know how she’s able to incorporate multiple prompts in one post.

From Ian (ian m dudley):

  • the joys of taking pictures of the mean streets of surburbia. There’s beauty everywhere, if you look.
  • how to fix my dad’s Pentex cam. It’s not broken… yet. but if I come across an issue I can reference back to his site for tips.

From Ajinkya Rane (The Panvelite):

  • dedication and discipline is needed when working out. I’ve been sporadic with my exercising as of late. Reading about his daily routine helps motivate me to be more active.
  • the different types of Indian foods. My God. I want to eat my screen when he posts about his meals. Which reminds me, I still need to make the dahl he posted some time ago.

From Rob (Rebuilding Rob):

  • choosing yourself isn’t selfish. It’s a necessity in rebranding yourself and evolving as a person.
  • when marriages end, it doesn’t mean that it was a failure. It’s just the next era in a person’s life. His blog is his transformation journey without it being performative. Plus, him being a teacher, it gives me perspective about the educating arena that I am unfamiliar with.

I could go on and on about other bloggers, but I’ll save that for future posts.
