Currently listening to: Whalien 52 – BTS
Whalien 52 was inspired by the 52-hertz whale known as the loneliest whale because it sings at a frequency other whales can’t hear.
BTS uses the whale as a metaphor for feeling alone, misunderstood, and unheard while they were growing as artists.
Whalien = whale + alien, meaning feeling isolated from the people around you. It’s also about hope and continuing to sing and make your voice feel heard even when it seems like no one is listening.
Yeah
The most lonely creature in the world
Yeah (I’m a whale)
Do you wanna know my story? (Yeah)
I never told this to anybody
Yeah, come on (ooh)
What are your plans for Labor Day?
Prompt created by yours truly.
Feel free to use any prompts for September that I post and/or tag me.
I’d love to read your responses

It’s pretty obvious that I am behind in life.
The week has been exhausting to say the least. If I’ve been MIA or less responsive, it’s because I’ve been swamped with work and three BTS concerts (Tuesday, Saturday, and Sunday).
On Labor Day, I got home super late from D4 (day four) BTS concert. It was the last concert for North America. It took us nearly 45 minutes to get to my car, because we had to schlep it up four ramp levels up to the entry level and then find the rest of our friends. Then it took another hour before we were able to get out of the hellhole parking lot and then after we exited the parking lot, we still were stuck in traffic. And I drove three friends back home.
I also:
- slept in
- showered
- helped film an audition
- did chores around the house
- knocked out everything my mom’s been asking me to do for the past month
- played with the dog
- packed a BTS goodie bag for Maggie
- meal prepped
- read people’s blogs
- thought too much—why’s it feel like Florida in SoCal today? this is why I have more male friends than female friends…

I woke up to this…
My friends invited me to go to a BTS-related event but honestly, I just wanted to stay in and be alone. There’s been a bit of drama amongst our BTS group and it makes me feel like shit. I’d go into details regarding the situation but it would take at least ten pages to write about it and I certainly don’t have the bandwidth for that right now. But what I will say is that we’re all walking on eggshells around Alyssa. Maria, Andrea, Linda, and I had a long talk about it, and we could all feel something off with her aura. I’m also pretty sure she’s pissed because Linda invited me to go to the concert with her twice (she had soundcheck both nights) instead of her.
This is why I have a bunch of different friends that I rotate on a regular basis. I don’t get sick of them and they don’t get sick of me. It’s funny considering that I was a sprinter in high school track and that’s basically how I live my life. Short spurts (except for work) of intensity with the people I hang out with.
I like the freedom of doing what I want, with whoever I want, without asking permission or overthinking this or that. I can go wherever I want to go.
Right now, most North American ARMY are undergoing PCD. Post-concert depression. We spent nearly a year gearing up for these concerts and now that it’s over in Los Angeles, there is a sharp decrease in serotonin and dopamine. Emptiness creeps in during this melancholic phase. And knowing that the heat wave is returning and I have to go back to work tomorrow is another slap in the face. Ugh. Why can’t I just be a billionaire?
Luckily, I was able to catch a lot of footage during the concerts that I can rewatch over and over. And I’m here to share them with everyone LOL.
Got baptize by Jungkook.
My friends next to me were screaming their heads off. I try to stay quiet whenever I’m taking video/filming because I don’t want to ruin the footage with my hootin’ and hollerin’.
The perfect man doesn’t exist…
Love actually, IYKYK. TBH, I’ve never seen the movie…
Anyway, I’m off to bed early. I can hardly keep my eyes open any longer. I hope everyone was able to enjoy the day.
