What’s the strangest thing you’ve overheard in public?

I’m in Indian Wells at the Grand Hyatt eating at Tía Carmen and we’re sitting next to a prominent looking family eating dinner.

“Are you going to toss this salad?”

After hearing this, I nearly got whiplash trying to figure out who said that. It was this older boujiee woman dripped in Chanel, asking the server this question.

Another instance was when my fam and I were eating at Bamboo Bistro in Corona Del Mar. We were seated next to a couple and they were talking about their friends.

The female said, “That’s not what I said!! I said, bitch, take my husband’s name out of your fucking mouth. Then I said I gots to go. I’m buying me a farmhouse, I don’t care what anyone says.”

I did my best not to gawk or laugh but it was hard.
