LINK: not today (rojie’s version)
Currently listening to: Not Today – BTS
All the underdogs in the world
A day may come when we lose
But it is not today
Today we fight
Today is def not the day… but I’m getting a lot of things done:
- I still haven’t fully unpacked from Vegas (which I will write about in the next few days).
- I accidentally wiped out my entire site like a dipshit and spent a majority of Sunday trying to recover it without any luck. And yes, I did reach out to support/help but to no avail. That’s what I get for fucking around with my site and making rookie mistakes. I knew better. Ugh. I do have a degree in informatics, but that’s different than programming or being a website developer (which I did during undergrad for a wedding company).
- I developed plantar fasciitis when I was in Stanford and it just got progressively worse in Las Vegas. I have flat feet so there’s that and we have been standing, waiting in line for hours and hours. There was a line for anything BTS related for at least 1-3 hours. I’m used to walking around but the standing in one place for so long agitated the fuck outta my fascia. I’ve been rolling it out using a lacrosse ball.
- I got snippy with my mom because she said that her check engine light came on while she was driving. I asked her when the last time she got maintenance done on the car. She said that she’s only gotten oil changes completed. She has over 20,000 miles and hasn’t done the recommended service for the 15,000 miles. I was going to use the day to get chores done and have some “me time” before going back to work again tomorrow. Turns out it was a low tire light and not the check engine light that turned on. I dropped the car off at a tire shop and Uber’d it back home because I didn’t feel like getting stuck there for hours on end. I’ll have to go back later to retrieve the car.
- I also went to get work done on my face this morning, the sun in Vegas was unforgiving and I felt like I got skin damage despite wearing SPF 50+ throughout the days and wearing a hat. I got PRX-T33 done (it’s a combo of TCA 33% – for skin rejuvenvation, tightening, and brightening; hydrogen peroxide, and kojic acid to stimulate collagen growth), microneedling, and botox for my TMJ because I clench my teeth when I get stressed and unfortunately at night I grind (bruxism) while I sleep, causing me to wake up with headaches. I’ve had custom mouth guards before but I’d shred them relatively quickly and it did nothing for my headaches. I look like I got into a fight or someone dragged sandpaper across my face multiple times after getting these procedures done.
- I still have my secondary job that I have to do before the evening is over.
- I need to sleep a little bit more, DD2, meal prep since I’ll be working Tuesday through next Friday (FML), do laundry, go to the post office, give my dog a bath, organize all my belongings and BTS freebies.
- I’m having BTS concert withdrawals. It’s bad… and now it’s back to reality…
