The Lucas Museum of Narrative Art is finally going to be open on September 22, 2026. There have been many delays, they were supposed to open in 2021, then 2022, then 2023, then 2025… and so forth. It took a billion dollars to create this spaceship looking building that is 300,000 square feet with over 35 galleries and 40,000 works spanning painting, illustration, comic art, photography, and Star Wars memorabilia.

I already know when I finally get to go I’m seriously going to geek out and possibly crash out.

        When I was very young we had many action figures, me and my friend, well him actually he had tge garbage dump thing with the creature that has the cyclops eye and Luke is cbing R2 to stop the walls from closing in?? Lol! He had that room as a toy from ep. IV lololol Styrofoam garbage! We had tontons and well SO many Star Wars toys!!! I think it’s a shame —myself— that he altered the original 3 with cgi stuff like the Venus fly trap looking exiting mouth in the desert pit off of Jaba’s ship where Boba heads south for a bit there,

            It was! 1977 was the premier date soooo ya not original first issued action figures but they were old, 1980s

    I’m not much of a Star Wars fan, but the rest of the museum sounds cool and it really looks interesting. Has anyone said what it’s supposed to look like? The lady in the video said it was based on a canyon of trees? That long white building behind it to the right also looks cool.
