Over a million Uyghur folks were subjected to arbitrary detention or re-education camps by the Chinese government, where their human rights were annihilated and it was basically a genocide. But of course, China is going to deny this… because, well… they’re China.
I had Uyghur cuisine for the first time. It was like a mix between Chinese and Middle Eastern. Everything was Halal also.

Special tea

Uyghur goshnaan. If this had been all beef, I would have eaten the whole thing by myself but since it had minced lamb, I only had a slice. For some reason, my palate isn’t fond of the grassy and gamey flavor.

Ughur goshnaan and Laghman. The hand-pulled noodles were bouncy and the beef was cooked perfectly.

Mapo tofu

Fried cabbage and mapo tofu

honey cake.
Everything was pretty good overall. Buddy H and I spent nearly two hours there talking about his latest marriage challenges while I complained about not having won the lotto yet. My life woes seem trivial to what he is going through right now. As a good friend, I listened, validated, and threw in my two cents since he was asking. Not that I am some relationship advisor or anything but I could tell him my opinion from a female Asian’s POV.
