Currently rewatching: FIFA world cup halftime show

What’s the last thing you do before you leave the house? And why?

I’d love to read your responses.

I take a dose of my iron supplement solution and chase it down with a cup of water.

I do a quick check to make sure that I have everything that I need:

  • my work bag
  • my lunch bag
  • my phones
  • my 40 oz Stanley mug full of tea + bottle of water

There have been times when I am in such a hurry and exhausted that I forget to grab my lunch bag and either I have to go back in the house to retrieve it or my mom brings it outside chasing after me.

And then I hop into my car and drive off to work to start my day.

    The lunch bag. It happens many times to my third eldest sister. She’s forgetful when she’s in a hurry and I sometimes run to catch her.🤭

    What a great halftime show! I watched it live and loved it. I thought about you when BTS came out. They were great. Also, loved Shakira and the children.

    I kiss the Missus goodbye, then say goodbye to the Kiddos (usually still in their rooms and asleep) and Doggo.

    But the very last thing I do?

    Lock the door behind me.

    Im horrible at making lunches for myself. I tend just to throw things in a bag from the fridge or wherever and hope it’s enough.
    Granted I could plan the night before, but what’s the fun in that? 🤷‍♂️
    Ive always been terrible at making lunches for myself my entire life, and have made the decsion it is not worth trying to get better at it.

    The mental image of your mom chasing you outside with the forgotten lunch bag is so sweet and so relatable — we’ve done that exact dash after a kid halfway down the driveway more times than I can count. And a 40 oz Stanley of tea plus a water bottle? You are hydrated and prepared. Fun prompt, too; the ‘last thing before leaving’ really does pull everyone’s little rituals out in the comments.

    I agree with Mary. As soon as I saw BTS, I thought about you. The last thing I do is activate the house alarm, because nowadays you’ve got to stay safe.
