As cliched as it sounds, near death experiences. Nothing reminds you of life like an adrenaline dump, a pounding heart, and forcing open a car door to make sure your kids are OK.
Also, getting your junk swept by a ‘friend’ while skeet shooting at your bachelor party.
Which caused me to give him a near death experience…
