LINK: as of late
I woke up and thought that it was Saturday, ready to push that snooze button but then I realized it wasn’t Saturday. Oof. Needless to say, I was very salty knowing that I still had to go into work.

The heatwave has been making me miserable and its unforgiving onslaught these past weeks have been putting me through the ringer. I can’t sleep because of the heat and because I’m not sleeping (my AC is still affected), I have to drink coffee (yes, I fell off the wagon) daily. And because of the extreme heat, I can’t exercise outside or inside my home for that matter. I feel bloated and very tense. It’s a nasty vicious cycle. I cannot wait till this shit is over.
Work has officially been kicking my ass. Both of them.
Things have not gotten any better with Alyssa. In fact, it has gotten even worse. She’s been talking about us behind our backs on top of the sour attitude and cold shoulder she’s giving us. I heard the things she said about Maggie and I was stunned and offended for her. I can only imagine what she’s said about me… because when I saw her and her husband at the last concert, it wasn’t friendly at all. Being ARMY is supposed to be a happy fellowship, unfortunately, I think this friendship has run its course.

Maggie got me these little vinyl toys, Hello Kitty & Friends x Godzilla from McDonald’s happy meals. Not pictured, Kuromi x Mechagodzilla. McDonald’s next collab is with Pokémon.

Big back activities: I was craving a sandwich and it’s as if the universe heard my stomach’s pleas. I got the Turkado sandwich on sourdough bread: turkey breast, jack cheese, avocado, lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, bacon, pepperoncini, and mayo.

Coworker brought me these sandwiches that were absolutely delicious.
Khao soi chicken sando on shokupan bread: braised chicken thigh, red onion, pickled green mustard, cilantro, crispy noods, and khao soi sauce.
Short rib sando on shokupan: braised short rib, egg, aged cheddar, caramelized onion, pickled red onion, arugula, red wine sauce.
If I had to choose between the two, I would pick the short rib.

This is my latest obsession from Trader Joe’s. I put it on just about everything: eggs, chips, sandwiches, pasta, chicken, beef, and rice.
