I’ll go first…
I am from a lot of places…
I was born in what people used to call South Central, now called South Los Angeles. I’ve lived in a lot of cities… states… particularly in the Midwest. But for now, Southern California is where I’m from but Minnesota is where I call home.
Ethically, I am Korean. I identify as Korean-American. Koreans from the motherland do not fully accept Korean diasporas like myself. And Americans don’t fully accept me as one of their own. I find myself in the middle of both worlds and I’ve come to terms with that.
