What’s the hardest thing about getting older?
Prompt created by yours truly.

I’d love to read your responses
- Watching my mom get older. She lives with me, so I see her every day. We’ll be in the middle of a conversation and I’ll notice a new wrinkle or how far her grays have grown in and it startles me by how much she’s aged right before my eyes. Knowing that one day, she’ll succumb to a disease (she’s healthy right now, aside from having hypercholesterolemia) is still hard for me to imagine… despite our differences.
- Making friends is harder. I’m not good at it since I’m awkward, quiet, and for the most part I keep to myself… unless alcohol is involved.
- My body going through wear and tear but in my mind, I continue to think that I’m forever XXI.
- Knowing that I won’t have as many “firsts”. First trip to France. First kiss. First mind-blowing sex. First food tour. First concert. Now, it feels a bit rare having new experiences and the days feel more like it’s on repeat.
