I’d love to read your responses.

I’m a side sleeper in a fetal position. I start off sleeping on my left side and flip flop sides throughout the night.

IDK why one eye is bigger than the other.

I’ve always been on the struggle bus when it comes to sleeping next to someone else. As soon as the person slips into bed with me, I become super self-conscious and hyper-aware of everything. I wonder if I’m going to snore, grind my teeth, hog the blankets, or thrash around and prevent them from getting proper sleep.

Even if the other person is happily snoring next to me, I can’t seem to let my guard down. I’m like this with all my ex long-term boyfriends, I am unable to truly relax and fall into a deep sleep… unless I’ve taken some sort of sleep aid or am under the influence of Dramamine.

Tell me I’m not the only one…

Side Position: Fetal

More than 40% of people sleep in this curled-up side-sleeping position. It’s the most common position for women — they’re twice as likely as men to sleep like this. Some research suggests you may be more likely to be warm, friendly, and sensitive, but you also may have a protective shell around you.

Almost every night, I fall asleep in the left side position. That’s my comfort sleep position. Beautiful photo, Rojie.

Side, with arm tucked under pillow to support neck. Or flat on back with pillow folded to prevent neck sag.

It’s not all the time. Depends on the mood.

I’m blind in one of my eyes, so naturally one eye is bigger than the other!

    1. justrojie Avatar

well that would be a valid explanation

I start on my side then flip flop all night. I used to sleep walk a lot, ive been known to kick and hit in my sleep. I did a roundhouse kick in my sleep once.
Most of the time now I am a heavy sleeper.

    1. justrojie Avatar

Oh damn! Was someone sleeping next to you when you did that kick??

Side sleeper and proud of it.

I’m not self-conscious about sleeping with the Missus next to me, but I do worry a bit about snoring when in a group setting.

That sounds naughty, lemme clarify: camping, sharing a room or cabin, that sort of thing.

As for the one eyelid being open wider than the other in your photo, perhaps it’s because that side of your face is pressed up against a pillow?

    1. justrojie Avatar

Could be the pillow and my face mashed up on it 😆 thanks for the clarification!! 😂

I’ve also had partners who were always leaving the bed because they didn’t want to wake me with their tossing and turning (or with their whatever). They’d be this way even after they figured out that I’m nearly impossible to wake up…

Glad I’m not the only one!! Tysm
