I work with a bunch of food pushers. They love having potlucks and having food catered.
I am also in several group chats on TEAMS at work, which I’m an unwilling participant in but important information is being disseminated through these chats so I don’t really have a choice in the matter.
For the potluck, there was chicken, carne asada, rice, tortilla chips, tortillas, guacamole, salsa, pan dulce, pork rinds, onions, and cilantro. I went and got a plate of rice, side of guac, and salsa over the rice.
If I don’t eat the food, people get really salty and offended… and then it becomes a thing. I don’t enjoy drama so I’ll take a small plate of whatever I think is the healthier option on the buffet table. I always am willing to chip in for the cost, just not eating much of it.
I didn’t have enough time to go to the gym today, so it’s a girl dinner for me. Hard-boiled egg, a dash of everything but the bagel seasoning from Trader Joe’s, hot ginseng tea, and string cheese. It’s really hard for me to ditch the dairy…
Apparently, California has about four to six weeks of gas/fuel remaining. I don’t even know what to say about all that other than it’s a complete cluster fuck. Can you imagine people not being able to go to the hospital, an ambulance not being able to get people to the hospital, police unable to arrive on the scene in time, firefighters not being able to put out fires because they aren’t able to get to the fire, or healthcare or essential workers not being able to get to work?
Gas is nearing $7 a gallon here in SoCal. I don’t know what this means for me if we have no gas/fuel. Do I just stay home? Will work have a shuttle that will pick us up? I don’t mind walking or riding a bike but my commute is an hour from my home. I guess only time will tell, thanks to the dipshit who wanted this war.
On other news, WP has new prompts available. FINALLY. I’m not sure what to do with the prompts that I made for June. Should I trash it or keep it?
