What’s one lie you tell yourself? Why do you do it?

There are a few that I tell myself:

  • I am fine
  • I don’t have enough time
  • I’ll do that another day
  • just one more episode
  • time heals all wounds
  • tomorrow will be a better day

I think the only reason I do this to myself is because it’s a self-soothing mechanism for me… and it prevents me from feeling overwhelmed.
