2026 sunshine blogger award

LINK: 2026 sunshine blogger award

Thanks so much, John, for nominating me and other bloggers for this award. I’ve been following his blog for over a year now and I’d like to say that I’ve been kept abreast of many things that are going around the world because of him.

John’s questions for me:

  1. If you could live anywhere for one year, no limits, where would you go and why?
    • If money wasn’t a factor, currently, I’d have to say Singapore, it’s clean, safe, and there are lots of things to do.
  2. What’s something small in life that actually means a lot to you?
    • Anything homemade. It’s so easy to buy things but taking time to make something for someone else, well… that just makes it even more special.
  3. What got you started writing in the first place?
    • In grade school, during one of our classes, the teacher would give us five minutes to write any story on a piece of paper. I always thought it was so much fun even though I never was able to finish my stories.
  4. Do you write more from experience or imagination?
    • I write more from experience. I write from my POV for the most part.
  5. What kind of environment do you do your best thinking in?
    • I like it relatively quiet but in the background either having music playing softly or television show/movie with the volume on low. I used to like it without any sound but during uni, there were days when I was so lonely, I’d have something in the background to feel less alone.
  6. What’s one thing people often misunderstand about you?
    • People think that I am an extrovert. I am not. Being around people exhausts me but I put up a good front. People also think that I am a pushover, to which I also have to say that I am not. I am nice up to a point, but I have to pick my battles because I don’t have the bandwidth to say or take action on everything that irks or hurts me.
  7. If you could relive one moment in your life, would you—and which one?
    • The day my dad and I got a puppy from a farmer in Minnesota. We drove 40 miles East, into a rural area that I wasn’t familiar with at the time, to retrieve this golden retriever/Irish setter fur bae. Not only did I get to spend time with my dad by myself, but I also got to pick out my first puppy.
  8. What motivates you to keep creating, even on the harder days?
    • On harder days, I’ll write a draft with a few words and then save it for another day to complete when I’m feeling more up to it.
  9. If you could instantly master any skill, what would it be?
    • I wish I could master many things but I suppose I’d want to become really good at day trading. Unfortunately, I know nothing about it.
  10. What’s something you’ve written that surprised even you?
    • Hmm. I think it was my first post on this blog, i’m gucci. I was quite emotional when I wrote this and I was surprised that a few of my RL (real life) friends read this and instantly reached out to me. They didn’t know I felt a type of way, but then again, I never told them. I didn’t write it for attention, I simply wanted to purge my thoughts and emotions out on a blank page so that I could get it out of my system. Writing for me is very cathartic and healing, even if it is about the most depressing things being written.
  11. What does a perfect, peaceful day look like to you?
    • In bed, with blackout curtains, next to someone worthwhile, preferably. Hehehe, if you catch my drift.
