If you could talk to an ancestor for 10 minutes, what would you ask?

Prompt created by yours truly.
Feel free to use any prompts for April 2026 that I post and/or tag me.
I’d love to read your responses.

Korea has a rich history that traces back to Gojoseon, 2333 BC, making it over 4,300 years old. In comparison to the U.S. history of only 249 years old after they declared independence from the British… but the Native Americans have inhabited the land for over 15,000 years, long before the Europeans arrived.

Growing up, I used to watch a lot of the Korean royalty/historical novelas on television with my grandmother. There is a hierarchy in Korean royalty such as the empress, queen dowagers, consorts, princesses, royal concubines, and the crown prince’s concubines. It could get confusing at times so I’d ask her lots of questions and she patiently answered but I could tell that I was interrupting her K-drama time, so as I got older, I asked less questions.

With that being said, I would ask:

  • what was it like being an empress?
  • what would you have done differently if you could?
  • what advice would you tell the women who’ve read your words centuries later?

    1. What have your ancestors given and taught you and have you passed this on?
    2. What would you have done differently and how?
    3. Has any of your legacy been fulfilled and if so, what and how?

I watch a lot of stuff on Korean, Japanese, and Chinese history and culture, mainly horror stories, cos I like that kind of grue. I watched one where they talked about Daegu and the mining disaster, and by god, maybe Suga grew up around that. ๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ

But I like K-drama too. I watch it with Sun-Joo, my Korean friend. Iโ€™m going to teach myself more Korean, bc I want to comfortably communicate with her. I suppose I should be teaching her English, and I will startโ€ฆ. Right now I only know ์•ˆ๋…• which I suppose is good day. No one understands her, but I try and greet her like that. No subtitles, I use body language as cues โ€ฆ I abhor subtitles โ€ฆ they did that on the BTS doc, and on Kianโ€™s, but was likeโ€ฆ weirdly uncomfortable bc you canโ€™t be sure thatโ€™s what is actually being said.

I do prefer subtitles over dubbed for sure

A Pesach Victory blessing to President Trump who shall achieve a cease fire with Iran, in the shadow of the political anarchy that ensued in both Iraq and Libya. Chag Sameach – Whoooooooooooop.

Pesach: The birth of the chosen Cohen seed of Avraham, Yitzak, and Yaacov as an Independent Nation who conquers the land of Canaan as the eternal national inheritance of the Goy Cohen Nation which sanctifies the holy negative consequences of ื™ืจืืช ืฉืžื™ื as loss of ones’ ‘good name’ reputation; together with the most holy rise up and do commandment to love HaShem ืœืฉืžื” through the acquisition of positive commandment “ื‘ื ื™ื ื™ ืื‘ื•ืช” which plant the seeds of prophetic mussar to grow tohor spirits within our Yatzir Ha’Tov hearts which compares ื—ืžืฅ to the cursed 2nd Sinai commandment – tuma middot spirits that define the seduction of the Yatzir Ha-Ra serpent which first deceived Chava.

The difference between Hevel’s wisdom dedication of the chosen Cohen father vs. firstborn Cain’s barbeque to heaven – the Koran declaration that prophets went to all Goyim despite their rejection of the Torah revelation at Sinai.

A korban a wisdom commandment, which like tefilla, requires k’vanna. K’vanna defined as prophetic mussar – which dedicates Oral Torah tohor spirits within the Yatzir Ha’Tov; to prevail over competing tuma Yatzir Ha-ra spirits based upon the ื ืžืฉืœ of the Mishkan ืžืฉืœ.

The revelation of the Torah at Sinai differentiates between the vision of the Divine Names of ื‘ืจืืฉื™ืช prophets from the 1st commandment Divine Name ืœืฉืžื” — ืชื•ืจื” ืœื ื‘ืฉืžื™ื ื”ื™ื. Just as korbanot cannot express a sanctification-dedication except at the chosen place of the Cohen altar at Jerusalem; so too and how much more so justice requires Sanhedrin courts which define Torah “faith” as ืฆื“ืง ืฆื“ืง ืชืจื“ื•ืฃ.

The contrast of Cain’s barbeque to heaven, it despises the Torah revealed faith which pursues judicial justice. Akin to the Easter post blood libel pogroms which through the Ages of Xtian and Muslim racial injustice produced the fruits of the European Shoah, together with the post WWII Arab attempts to exterminate all Jews and reject the idea that dhimmi Jews share equal rights to achieve national self determination within the borders of the Cohen lands.

All Torah commandments exist as a mountain held aloft by the 1st Torah commanment hair; ืืฉืจ ื”ื•ืฆืืชื™ืš ืžืืจืฅ ืžืฆืจื™ื – Egypt clearly ืœืื• ื“ื•ืงื. Just as korbanot only dedicated upon the Cohen altar in Jerusalem, so too and how much more so ืฆื“ืง ืฆื“ืง ืชืจื“ื•ืฃ defines acceptance of the Torah ืœืฉืžื” — applicable only within the borders of the oath sworn Cohen land inheritance – the Chosen seed of the Avot.

The brit of Avraham – that childless man would ื›ืœืœ father the chosen Cohen people – the k’vanna of Hevel’s chosen Cohen korban dedication through the ืžืœืื›ื” wisdom of prophetic mussar; which serves as the k’vanna foundation of all time-oriented Av Torah commandments. The ืคืจื˜ of both Yitzak and Yaacov, they both define this ื›ืœืœ.

    Through Blessing/Curse Life\Death-ruling the land with justice vs. existing as slaves under the oppression corrupt “Egyptian” cursed justice. ื‘ืจื›ืช ื›ื”ื ื™ื – this Cohen blessing has three parts, like the “thesis statement” p’suk of kre’a shma tefilla ื“ืื•ืจื™ื™ืชื inclusive of three Divine Names – ื›ืœืœ-ื–ื™ืžืŸ ื’ืจืžื ืžืฆื•ื•ืช, ืคืจื˜ ืฉื‘ ื•ืœื ืชืขืฉื” and ืคืจื˜ ืงื•ื ื•ืขืฉื” ืžืฆื•ื•ืช; tefilla ื“ืจื‘ื ืŸ inclusive of ืืœื”ื™ ืื‘ืจื”ื ืืœื”ื™ ื™ืฆื—ืง ื•ืืœื”ื™ ื™ืขืงื‘ prophetic Shemone Esrei.

The substance of Torah faith ืœืฉืžื” – – Sanhedrin common law courts which differentiate between ื“ื ื™ ื ืคืฉื•ืช from ื“ื ื™ ืžืžื•ืŸ – Capital Crimes vs Torts Damages. This fundamental ื”ื‘ื“ืœื” separates the klippa Mishkan form/Tree of life “bark” from the essential essence fruits of righteous justice as the dedication of Torah Sinai acceptance.

The jurisdiction of Sanhedrin Capital Crimes Courts – only in the oath sworn Cohen inheritance land – under the essential pre-condition that the Chosen Cohen people rule Independent from foreign domination; the latter defines g’lut judicial Par’o straw courts – judicial injustice – comparable to the vertical British Star Courts which validated British navel impressment of American sailors seized on the High Seas and forced to serve a 25 year sentence on British ships of war.

Whereas ื“ื ื™ ืžืžื•ืŸ torts courts – this judicial ืกืžื™ื›ื” – while also inclusive of the precedent of the House of Aaron Moshiach anointing dedication – have jurisdiction in both ืืจืฅ ื™ืฉืจืืœ and g’lut Egyptian lands of judicial oppression corrupt-injustice. The Easter passion blood libel pogroms produced the tuma mussar fruits of the Shoah – both in Europe and all Arab wars to throw the Jews of Israel into the Sea.

When missionaries come knocking at my door, my first question to them: My people burned in the ovens of death camps across Xtian Europe, where was Jesus? Where was Allah as rabid Muslim believers scream to this day “death to the Jews? Yet Arabs lose war after war like Europe now rejects the reputation of the Church; the EU made no reference to the church when it attempted to establish a Constitution.

Pesach – not just liberation from Egypt โ€” it is the birth of a nation whose entire purpose is to sanctify justice, kavanah, and prophetic mussar in the land promised to the Avot, and history shows the consequences when this mission is rejected or suppressed. The mussar k’vanna of this “Oral Torah” interpretation of Chag Pesach 5786, he seder table itself becomes the altar where we re-swear the brit โ€” not with animal korban but with the living dedication of prophetic mussar in the Yatzir Ha’Tov. Chag sameach.

bruhhh. i thought something happened to you cause you were MIA. Pesach meaning: In Judaism, Pesach commemorates the Exodus from Egypt and the formation of the Israelites as a people. It is not typically framed in the way this text describes (for example, โ€œCohen nationโ€ conquering Canaan as its central theme, or linking it to modern political figures).
Use of โ€œCohenโ€: โ€œKohenโ€ refers specifically to a priestly lineage within the Jewish people, not the entire nation. Calling the whole nation a โ€œCohen nationโ€ is not standard.
Theological claims: The text blends concepts like yetzer tov/ra (inclinations), korban (sacrifices), and Torah commandments in ways that donโ€™t reflect how they are understood in Jewish theology or classical sources.
Other religions: References to the Qurโ€™an, Christianity, and historical events are either oversimplified, inaccurate, or presented in a polemical way rather than a factual one.
Historical claims: Some statements about history and religion are distorted or framed to support a specific ideological narrative rather than reflect balanced scholarship.
Political elements: The opening line about a modern political leader and Iran has no connection to Pesach in any traditional or widely accepted sense.

      1. mosckerr Avatar

Why? I do not understand what “typically” refers to? [Use of โ€œCohenโ€: โ€œKohenโ€ refers specifically to a priestly lineage within the Jewish people, not the entire nation.] Not according to the Talmud.

Torah a political Constitutional revelation for the Cohen Republic of 12 Tribes.

        1. justrojie Avatar
          1. Meaning of โ€œKohenโ€ (Cohen)

In classical Jewish textsโ€”including the Talmudโ€”
โ€œKohenโ€ always refers to a specific hereditary priestly class, descendants of Aaron (Aharon), brother of Moses.
โ€ข They had distinct roles: Temple service, sacrifices, certain blessings.
โ€ข They are a subset of the tribe of Levi, not the whole people of Israel.
โ€ข The rest of Israel is divided into:
          โ€ข Kohanim (priests)
          โ€ข Levites
          โ€ข Israelites (the other tribes)

There is no standard Talmudic position that โ€œKohenโ€ refers to the entire nation.

          โธป

          1. โ€œKingdom of priestsโ€ idea

The confusion likely comes from a verse in Torah (Exodus 19:6):

โ€œYou shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.โ€

Traditional interpretations (including in the Talmud and later commentators) understand this as:
โ€ข A spiritual calling for the whole nation
โ€ข Not a literal statement that all Israelites are Kohanim

          So:
          โ€ข Metaphorical / national mission โ†’ yes
โ€ข Literal priestly identity for all tribes โ†’ no

          โธป

          1. โ€œCohen Republic of 12 Tribesโ€

This phrase is not a recognized concept in the Talmud or classical Jewish literature.

          Ancient Israel:
โ€ข Was a tribal society with religious law
โ€ข Later developed into monarchies (Saul, David, Solomon)
โ€ข Had priestly authority (Kohanim) and judicial authority (elders, judges, later Sanhedrin)

But it was not described as a โ€œCohen Republicโ€ in any traditional source.

          โธป

          1. Torah as a โ€œpolitical constitutionโ€

          This part is partially interpretive:
          โ€ข The Torah does contain:
          โ€ข Laws (civil, criminal, ritual)
          โ€ข Governance structures (courts, judges)
โ€ข Some scholars describe it as a kind of divine legal constitution

          However:
โ€ข Itโ€™s primarily understood in Judaism as covenantal law from God, not a republic-based political document
โ€ข Authority is theological, not derived from โ€œthe peopleโ€ like a modern republic

          1. mosckerr Avatar

Cohonim of the house of Aaron – only they can dedicate korbanot. But the Talmud instructs that the dedication of tohor middot ืœืฉืžื” – the mitzva known as tefillah – the ื ืžืฉืœ of the korbanot ืžืฉืœ.

          2. justrojie Avatar

The Talmud does not frame tefillah strictly as a โ€œnimshalโ€ replacing korbanot in a simple metaphorical sense. Instead, it presents a few related ideas:
โ€ข Parallel structure: Prayer times correspond to daily offerings (e.g., morning and afternoon prayers aligned with Tamid offerings).
โ€ข Substitute after destruction: After the Templeโ€™s destruction, prayer functions as a replacement or stand-in for sacrifices.
โ€ข Inner dimension: Prayer emphasizes intent (kavanah) and inner devotion, which korbanot also required.

          3. mosckerr Avatar

The translation of prayer refers to saying Tehillem rather than tefillah b/c the latter requires ืฉื ื•ืžืœื›ื•ืช whereas the former does not.

          4. justrojie Avatar

            Does Tehillim avoid โ€œืฉื ื•ืžืœื›ื•ืชโ€?

No โ€” this is where the claim breaks down.
โ€ข Tehillim often includes Godโ€™s name explicitly
โ€ข It just doesnโ€™t follow the fixed blessing formula

            So:
            โ€ข Itโ€™s not that Tehillim lacks โ€œืฉื ื•ืžืœื›ื•ืชโ€
โ€ข It simply isnโ€™t structured as formal berachot

          5. mosckerr Avatar

Most definitely yes. Tehillim a ืฉื‘ื—. Meaning, its does not swear a dedication of a defined Torah Oral Torah tohor midda as does the Shemone Esrie also known as Amida. Why this 2nd name? Ideally a person davens in a shul which has a Sefer Torah. To swear a Torah oath a person must “stand” before a Sefer Torah.

          6. mosckerr Avatar

Oral Torah by definition interprets the k’vanna of the language of the Written Torah. In a similar manner that the Supreme Court in the US “interprets” the intent of the US Constitutional framers.

          7. justrojie Avatar

Comparing it to the Supreme Court of the United States interpreting the Constitution is only partially similarโ€”and hereโ€™s why:

            1) Source of authority
โ€ข Supreme Court: Interprets a human-authored document written at a specific time.
โ€ข Oral Torah (traditional view): Considered divinely given alongside the Written Torah at Sinaiโ€”not just later interpretation.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Thatโ€™s a huge difference. In the traditional model, itโ€™s not just โ€œfiguring out intentโ€โ€”itโ€™s transmitting an original, authoritative explanation.

            โธป

            2) โ€œIntent of the framersโ€ vs. โ€œkโ€™vannaโ€
โ€ข The Court debates what the framers meant (originalism vs. living constitutionalism).
โ€ข The Oral Torah doesnโ€™t usually frame itself as reconstructing โ€œintentโ€ (kโ€™vanna) of authors.

            Instead, it uses:
            โ€ข Received traditions (mesorah)
โ€ข Interpretive rules (like the 13 hermeneutical principles)
            โ€ข Legal reasoning and precedent

๐Ÿ‘‰ Itโ€™s less about guessing intent and more about working within an authorized interpretive system.

The last address did not correctly copy paste correctly:

The Brit cut at Sinai through the ื ืขืฉื” ื•ื ืฉืžืข Torah oath: Torah a life/death-blessing\curse definition.

Gโ€™lut cursed Judaism, meaning impossible for ‘Egyptian slave Jews’, to pursue judicial Capital Crimes justice in g’lut. Proof that cursed g’lut Jews cannot obey the Torah ืœืฉืžื”. Hence across g’lut Chazal: Geonim, Reishonim – Rambam vs RambaN for example – the Shulchan Aruch to later modern halachic authorities and how much more so Goyim ‘biblical studies’ – none of them by definition instruct Torah rejects monotheism. Despite the multiple places throughout Talmud and Midrashic literature which teaches that both Esav and Yishmael rejected the revelation of the Torah at Sinai – assimilated and intermarried ืขืจื‘ ืจื‘ Jewish authorities have praised that Monotheism does not fundamentally rape the 2nd Sinai commandment – based upon the precedents of Egypt, Canaan, and the prophet Eliyahu.

None of these “cursed g’lut Jews” link the failure to keep the Yovel as “the” definition of the oath sworn to Avraham at the brit cut between the pieces that he would father the Cohen people who would inherit the lands of Canaan. None of these “cursed g’lut Jews” prioritized the Sinai distinction of Torah ืœืฉืžื” — ืœื ื‘ืฉืžื™ื ื”ื™ื. None of these “cursed g’lut Jews” link the Aggadic story of Cain’s murder of Hevel as ืžืฉืœ, which like the dreams of both Yosef and Par’o require their ื ืžืฉืœ interpretive ื“ื™ื•ืง.

The Gemara a direct consequence of Jewish g’lut. Jews forced to communicate their scholarship in a language which the Goyim censors would not expunge. None the less, the “Cohen nation” expressed through halachic precedents! Never once – the 12 Tribes expressed as a Republic anymore than classic Reshonim non-statute law halachic codes prioritized the concept of korbanot! Ritual halachic codes do not address the tohor\tuma divide beyond ritual states. The study of Aggada confined to stories rather than a drosh back to interpret T’NaCH Primary Source prophetic mussar which elevates ritual commandments to wisdom time-oriented commandments from the Torah – like the B’HaG learns. Cursed g’lut Judaism declares Judaism (the assimilated religion) as the origin of monotheism through referring to NT Xtianity and Koran Islam as “daughter religions”. Rambam the assimilated (on par with the son of Ibn Ezra) ruled that Islam not avoda zara.

G’lut Jewry – addicted to p’shat by Reshonim scholarship, which failed to grasp the warp/weft nature of Talmudic halacha\aggada loom which defines the cultures and customs of the Cohen peoples’ self identities, akin to oil in water, amongst g’lut dominant cultures, customs, and ways; as the definition of both the first and second Sinai Av commandments/ืชืจื™”ื’ toldot commandments. G’lut Jewry by definition failed to grasp that time-oriented commandments k’vanna express Torah wisdom. That Greek syllogism logic cannot duplicate.

Emunah in the conquered land of Canaan – that justice seeks to restore shattered trust among our people consequent to damages and even deaths. The Talmudic ื›ืœืœ of hatred without cause, a fundamental interpretation of 2nd Commandment on par with the avoda zara worshipped throughout the Books of the later NaCH. The g’lut notion of ื™ืจื™ื“ื•ืช ื”ื“ื•ืจื•ืช as false as a 6 year old girl wearing a DD bra. Chinese ancestor worship more akin to g’lut notions that later generations cannot dispute with earlier generations! As if the earlier generations stood closer to the sealed masoret than the later generations – utter and complete nonsense. This curse g’lut ืœื ืœืฉืžื” reality ignores the mussar of “domino effect” as a valid interpretation of ื™ืจื™ื“ื•ืช ื”ื“ื•ืจื•ืช. That the Book of Kings express as political satire which mocks King Shlomo as “the wisest of all men”.

Oral Torah the ื ืžืฉืœ of the Written Torah Constitutional mandate ืžืฉืœ. Oral Torah, as the Horev “interpretation” of the Av 1st & 2nd Torah Sinai commandments, employs Torah and even Talmudic halachot as ื‘ื ื™ื ื™ ืื‘ื•ืช to define the k’vanna of all Torah commandments defined as the wisdom commandments practiced by the nation of Cohonim within the borders of the conquered lands of Canaan; the 2nd Commandment “interpreted” through assimilation and intermarriage between alien cultures/people – how they worship their Gods.

Torah common law legalism stands upon judicial precedent legal rulings; Sanhedrin Capital Crimes stands upon a minimum of two eye witnesses. Three man Torts courts by contrast operate both within a Independent Torah Republic of 12 Tribes and also in cursed g’lut lands abroad. Herein explains the “interpretation” of bnai Noach to Goyim living outside of the conquered Canaan lands. The Torah Constitutional mandate restricted only to Cohen National Independence within the borders of conquered Canaan.

G’lut classic rabbinic Judaism expressed through Gaonim & Reshonim scholarship converted Judaism into a religion to address the needs of the cursed realities of g’lut. Medieval Jewish philosophy through modern academic biblical studies and post Rambam Civil War statute law halachic codifications like the Shulkan Aruch, historical Judaism, and Reform Karaism – dead as the authors who declared pre-Shoah that Berlin was their Jerusalem. Rambam’s halacha more closely resembles to the Protestant rejection of Catholic images 30 year war – wherein he ruled that Islam’s worship of Allah does not invalidate the 1st Sinai commandment.

This cursed g’lut avoda zara embraced Monotheism; the Rambam ื‘ื“ื™ืขื‘ื“ permitted Jews to daven in Mosques! Its religious format serves a similar “replacement theology” which directly resembles the NT and Koran av tuma avoda zara. The Oral Torah definitively replaced by Greek logic syllogism formats by both the NT church and Muslim mosque. In similar fashion both replacement theologies prioritize faith as belief in ONE UNIVERSAL GOD which ignores the Oral Torah/Talmudic interpretation that the Sinai god – a local tribal god of the chosen Cohen nation who conquers Canaan. Hence rabbi Akiva ruled that the Wilderness Generation has no portion to the World to Come.

G’lut Judaism blurrs over the ื‘ืจืืฉื™ืช emphasis that the Avot did not know the ืฉื ื”ืฉื ืœืฉืžื” Sinai revelation. Cursed assimilated and inter-married Jewish societies, perhaps best defined by the ‘Golden Age’ of Spain highlighted in the back-drop of the 1492 forced population transfer and Inquisition torture of Marrano Jews. The gospel of John’s golden calf declaration that the word is God, perhaps best defines the “Word of God” av tuma avoda zara, defining expression of both the NT and Koran Golden Calf abominations.

Torah common law legalism prioritizes the Constitutional mandate by its “specific” and repeated references made to justice – expressed through Sanhedrin courtroom judicial rulings which ideally restore fair compensation of damages inflicted by the “tuma” Israel upon the “tohor” Israel. Tohora vs Tuma their defining Constitutional mandate – by no means limited to Korbanot! This Constitutional mandate which distinguishes tohor middot vs. tuma middot — this fundamental Torah Constitutional mandate expressed in the ืชืคื™ืœื” ื“ืื•ืจื™ื™ืชื Torah mandate known as kre’a shma/Yoke of the kingdom of heaven: interpreted to means acceptance of the domination of tohor middot spirits within the heart rather than the domination of tuma middot spirits within the heart. This ื”ื‘ื“ืœื” between chosen vs rejected ‘spirits’ bases itself on the 1st Sinai commandment – the ืฉื ื”ืฉื ืœืฉืžื” – defined as Oral Torah spirits. Tuma yatzir middot, understood as the worship of words/religious belief system theologies and or Creeds. The latter tuma spirits define the Greek/Roman belief systems in their Gods.

The later Xtian and Muslim avoda zara ie 2nd Sinai commandment Av tuma religions belief systems โ€ฆ no different from the Greek\Roman Av tuma religions belief systems. They all share the same common denominator, they worship words the expression of their Gods who live in the Heavens above. The Torah revelation of the 1st commandment ืฉื ื”ืฉื ืœืฉืžื” – ืœื ื‘ืฉืžื™ื ื”ื™ื, establishes the chiddush revelation that while the Avot in the Book of ื‘ืจืืฉื™ืช, understood their ืืœ ืฉื“ื™ god as occupying both the Heavens and the Earth; the post Sinai ืฉื ื”ืฉื ืœืฉืžื” occupies the Yatzir Ha-Tov hearts of the chosen Cohen nation which rules the conquered lands of Canaan as the one and only Cohen republic of 12 Tribes. Only the 12 Tribes accepted the revelation of this Torah at Sinai/Horev.

The Torah Constitutional mandate 1. Rejects the theology of monotheism. 2. Establishes the chosen Cohen nation: expressed through laws which shape and define this tiniest of people. While all nations and societies shape their Gods through a defined religious worship of those Av tuma avoda zara 2nd Sinai commandment Gods, the Torah Constitutional mandate Cohen nation rejects and despises as Av tuma avoda zara spirits which dominate the Yatzir Ha-Ra within the heart, based upon the conflict Esav & Yaacov first introduced through the “womb of Rivka” aggada ืžืฉืœ\ื ืžืฉืœ metaphor.

The tuma nature expressed through middot, understood as “personality attributes”, this ืžืฉืœ Cain personality understands and perceives reality expressed to making a ื˜ื™ืคืฉ ืคืฉื˜ literal worship of words. For example: the Koran mocks Jews as “the people of the Book”. This pejorative, it projects Arab/Muslim replacement theology which replaces the Hebrew T’NaCH with its Koran – specifically it replaces the akada of Yitzak with Yishmael. No different than the NT Bible replaces Jesus as the Son of God and totally rejects the Avraham “oath brit\alliance” (A political rather than a religious concept, perhaps best expressed through the ื‘ื ื™ืŸ ืื‘ of the mitzva of ืงื™ื“ื•ืฉื™ืŸ).

Both later religious theologies prioritize their replacement theological belief systems over the faith obligation of the Torah brit alliance – this revelation which mandates the Republic of 12 Tribes which rose out of the slavery of Egypt – to rule conquered Canaan with Sanhedrin courtroom justice. Both later religious theologies ignore completely the first commandment revelation ืœื ื‘ืฉืžื™ื ื”ื™ื the fundamental key to understanding that “faith” not a religious belief in God above, below, or in the past ie “Old Testament replaced by the NT or Koran. But rather “faith” as restricted to righteous judicially imposed fair restitution of damages inflicted by Jews upon other Jews who both share an oath alliance to pursue justice in the oath sworn Cohen land permanent inheritance.

            1. โ€œRabbinic Judaism = distortion / product of censorshipโ€

            This is not historically accurate.
โ€ข The Talmud developed over centuries in Babylonia and the Land of Israel.
โ€ข While censorship happened later (especially in medieval Christian Europe), it does not explain the structure or content of the Talmud.

            Also:
โ€ข The idea that the Talmud was written โ€œin code to avoid goyim censorshipโ€ is not supported by academic or traditional scholarship.

            1. Islam, Christianity, and monotheism

You mention Maimonides ruling that Islam is not idolatry โ€” that part is accurate.

            But your conclusions are not:
โ€ข Judaism does not reject monotheism โ€” it is one of the foundational principles (see Maimonidesโ€™ 13 principles).
โ€ข Judaism does not generally frame Christianity and Islam simply as โ€œavodah zarah identical to Greek religion.โ€
            โ€ข Views are nuanced:
โ€ข Islam โ†’ generally considered strict monotheism.
โ€ข Christianity โ†’ debated (some view it as problematic for Jews but not identical to paganism).

            โธป

            1. โ€œTorah rejects monotheismโ€ / โ€œlocal tribal god onlyโ€

            This is incorrect.
โ€ข The Shema (โ€œHear O Israel, the Lord is Oneโ€) is central.
โ€ข Biblical and rabbinic sources consistently present God as universal, not merely tribal.

            โธป

            1. Yovel (Jubilee) as the defining covenant

This is a minority or invented interpretation.
โ€ข Yovel is important (Leviticus 25), but:
โ€ข It is not treated as the defining core of the Abrahamic covenant.
โ€ข Its non-observance is discussed, but not framed the way you describe.

            โธป

            1. โ€œJudaism became a religion only in exileโ€

This is a modern ideological claim, not historical fact.
            โ€ข Ancient Israel already had:
            โ€ข Law
            โ€ข Ritual
            โ€ข National identity
            โ€ข Theology

Rabbinic Judaism is better understood as a continuation and adaptation, not a corruption.

            โธป

            1. Aggadah vs Halacha misunderstanding

            Youโ€™re right that:
โ€ข There are two modes: legal (halacha) and narrative/interpretive (aggadah).

            But incorrect that:
โ€ข Rabbis ignored deeper interpretive meaning.
            โ€ข Aggadah is โ€œjust stories.โ€

            In fact:
โ€ข Classical sources treat aggadah as layered, symbolic, and philosophically rich.

            1. Sanhedrin and legal system

            Partially correct:
            โ€ข The Sanhedrin required:
โ€ข Two witnesses for capital cases
            โ€ข Structured legal procedures

            But incorrect that:
โ€ข Torah law only applies in a sovereign republic and is irrelevant outside it.
โ€ข Rabbinic courts in exile are illegitimate.

            โธป

            1. Tone and framing (โ€œcursed gโ€™lut Jewsโ€)

This is not part of any recognized Jewish tradition โ€” classical, medieval, or modern.
โ€ข Jewish sources often view exile as difficult or tragic
โ€ข But not as making all post-biblical Judaism invalid or corrupt

          10. mosckerr Avatar

Censorship defines g’lut. The Persian kings who permitted Jews to return and ran Judea as a banana republic censored reading the Torah on shabbat. This forced Jews to read NaCH Prophetic readings instead. Called today Haftorah.

Few people study the Talmud as a common law judicial legal system. Those who do understand that the middot system defines the Oral Torah sh’itta of learning.

The Talmud stresses that the 2nd Commonwealth never observed the Yovel. That’s not a minority or novel privately held opinion.

The literal ื˜ื™ืคืฉ ืคืฉื˜ of reading ONE in the kre’a shma as Monotheism – brain dead stupid on par with the literal reading of the Creation of the Universe in 6 days. LOL

Post Roman g’lut all about adapting. Rabbi’s, starting with every rabbi within every Yeshiva I personally learned theirin often “skipped over” the Aggadic portions of the Talmud! I write as a first hand eye witness not promote idle gossip.

Reread, Torts courts permitted in g’lut. Torts courts stand apart from Capital Crimes Sanhedrin courtrooms.

You’re spot on with the Tone and framing (“cursed g’lut Jews”) :))) Utterly despise the failure of rabbinic Judaism to encourage g’lut Jewry to make aliya to Palestine prior to the 1939 White Paper!!! Orthodox rabbinic Judaism no different than the Wilderness Generation cowards who too refused to rise up and conquer the oath sworn land of Canaan.

D’varim closes with Life\Death Blessing/Curse ืžืฉื ื” ืชื•ืจื” re-interpretation of the first two Sinai commandments. That g’lut cursed Jewry failed to recognize the obvious – proof that those cursed Jews exist in exile lands.

          11. justrojie Avatar

            1) โ€œCensorship defines gโ€™lutโ€ / Persians banned Torah reading โ†’ Haftorah

            This is not historically accurate.
โ€ข Under Achaemenid Persian Empire rulers like Cyrus the Great, Jews were actually allowed and encouraged to return and rebuild the Temple (see Book of Ezra).
โ€ข There is no reliable historical evidence that Persians banned Torah reading on Shabbat.

            About Haftorah:
โ€ข The common traditional explanation is that prophetic readings developed during periods of persecution (often associated with later Greek/Seleucid oppression, e.g. Seleucid Empire), when Torah reading was restricted.
โ€ข Even that explanation is partly traditional, not firmly proven historically. Some scholars think the Haftorah simply developed liturgically alongside Torah reading.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Bottom line: The โ€œPersians censored Torah โ†’ Haftorahโ€ claim is not supported.

            โธป

            2) โ€œTalmud = common law judicial systemโ€

This is partly a useful analogy, but not exact.
โ€ข The Talmud does function like a legal system:
            โ€ข Case-based reasoning
            โ€ข Precedents
            โ€ข Argumentation across generations
โ€ข The middot (e.g., Rabbi Ishmaelโ€™s 13 rules) are indeed core to how law is derived.

            However:
โ€ข It is not identical to modern โ€œcommon lawโ€ (like U.S. or British systems).
โ€ข It blends law, theology, ethics, and narrativeโ€”not just court rulings.

๐Ÿ‘‰ So: analogy = fair, but not literally the same thing.

            โธป

            3) โ€œSecond Commonwealth never observed Yovelโ€

            This is overstated and misleading.
โ€ข The mitzvah of Yovel depends on most tribes living in their ancestral lands.
โ€ข The Talmud (e.g., Arakhin 32b) indicates that Yovel was not practiced in the full biblical sense during much of the Second Temple period.

            But:
โ€ข Saying it was โ€œnever once observedโ€ is too absolute.
โ€ข Itโ€™s better stated: it was largely inoperative or only partially applicable due to demographic realities.

            โธป

            4) โ€œShema โ€˜Oneโ€™ โ‰  monotheism (and calling the literal reading โ€˜stupidโ€™)โ€

This is not accurate and also dismissive of a core Jewish belief.
โ€ข The declaration in Shema Yisraelโ€”โ€œHashem is Oneโ€โ€”has been understood for millennia as affirming monotheism and divine unity.
โ€ข Classical commentators (Rambam, Rashi, etc.) treat this as foundational theology, not a simplistic or โ€œbrain-deadโ€ reading.

๐Ÿ‘‰ You can argue for deeper philosophical meanings of โ€œoneness,โ€ but rejecting monotheism outright is outside normative Jewish interpretation.

Notably, events such as the destruction of the First Temple and the subsequent Babylonian exile set the stage for tensions between Jews and various empires, including Persia. Legal decrees often reflected the empire’s broader strategy towards maintaining peace and loyalty among various ethnic groups.

Reasons the Persian Kingdom Banned Reading the Torah: 1. The Persian Empire, at various times, sought to maintain strict control over its diverse populations. This included managing religious practices that could incite dissent or challenge the authority of the ruling class. 2. The Persian Empire encompassed multiple cultures and religions, including Zoroastrianism, which was the state religion. The promotion of Zoroastrian beliefs sometimes led to suppression of other religious texts and practices, like those of Judaism. The Jewish community had a complex relationship with the Persian authorities. During times of unrest or rebellion, ruling powers often took steps to quell potential sources of dissent. The Torah, being central to Jewish identity and law, could have been seen as a rallying point for resistance.

          56. justrojie Avatar

This is where it breaks down the most.

The Parliament of the United Kingdom:
โ€ข Creates law (it is sovereign)
โ€ข Can change constitutional principles through new statutes

            By contrast:
โ€ข The Sanhedrin could interpret and legislate, but not freely rewrite the Torah
โ€ข Its authority is bounded by the Torah and tradition

๐Ÿ‘‰ A closer analogy would be:
โ€ข A combined system of constitutional court + longstanding legal tradition

aning impossible for ‘Egyptian slave Jews’, to pursue judicial Capital Crimes justice in g’lut.

It’s interesting to see others engage in such an obscure, but Internet-important item like Talmudry. Long-winded as it often is.

Right – I’ll return to my scuttle-hole of syncretism, cosmic fatties and general miscellany.

One time in school I had to miss dance practice to visit my relatives living in Brunei. Since nobody knows anything abt dat place besides the oil and the monarchy, everyone somehow genuinely assumed I was some kind of heir to the Sultan. So when I came back to school, I was given the ‘royal treatment ~๐Ÿ‘‘’ … til I explained everything to them…

    1. justrojie Avatar

lol tbh idk much about brunei cept for the royalty there and that it’s an ideal place to live for many

      1. vic5566 Avatar

ye dat sorta covers it, lol. Brunei essentially feels like a lost Malaysian state. Oso it’s probably only rlly ideal to live there if ur Muslim…

I am reading about Tangun founding Choson- in 2333,

This is cool too!!: The Korean Empire invasion of Manchuria was an invasion of Manchuria (Northeast China, then ruled by the Qing dynasty) by the Korean Empire. The attack began on 11 August 1902, when Gojong of Korea sent Yi Bum-yun to Jiandao (also called “Gando” in Korea) as an observer. The attack ended in victory for Korea, which gained some control over Jiandao until the Gando Convention of 1909.
