Girl, tonight we’re gonna make love.
You know how I know?
Because it’s Wednesday.
And Wednesday night is the night that we usually make love.
Monday night is my night to cook.
Tuesday night we go and visit your mother, but Wednesday night we make sweet, weekly love.
It’s when everything is just right.
There’s nothing good on TV.
You haven’t had your after-work social sports team practice so you’re not too tired.
Oh boy… it’s all on.
You lean in and say something sexy like, “I might go to bed I’ve got work in the morning.”
I know what you’re trying to say girl.
You’re trying to say, “Oh, yeah. It’s business time. It’s business time.”
What memory makes you laugh out loud every time you think of it?
Prompt created by yours truly.

I’d love to read your responses.
I was at the library studying alone when a group of 쑛 다리 (short legs) Asian guys sat down at the table in front of me. A few minutes went by before one of them got up and headed over to me. He tapped my shoulder and asked me if I was Hmong.
I looked at him, and stood up.
I stood over him by at least three inches—which, for context, I’m 5’6″ so that meant he was easily 5’3″. Side note, Hmong people in general tend to have a shorter stature than other East Asians due to them being mountainous people who have limited access to nutrition for generations.
I told him, “No, I’m Korean”. And I have never in my life seen a man move away from me so fast in my life. It’s as if he thought I had the Bubonic Plague or something.
The table next to me burst out laughing. I did my best to maintain my composure because it wasn’t polite to laugh, but inwardly, I was laughing my ass off.
I still think about it sometimes. Whatever he was expecting, it definitely wasn’t that.
