LINK: grand central market
Sitting in my drafts since November 30, 2025. I’m trying to purge out my old drafts to make room for new ones.
My friends wanted to go eat lunch at Villa’s Tacos inside Grand Central Market long before Bad Bunny brought out Victor Villa (founder of Villa’s Taco’s) on to the halftime show. The are rated Michelin Bib Gourmand. They are known for their handmade blue-corn tacos.
I’ll be frank but I think that the Highland Park location is better than the one at Grand Central.
I got the queso taco (onion, cilantro, guacamole, contija cheese, and crema Mexicana). As much as I love the cheese crust, they were just mid. Here, at least.
My fav places to eat whenever I’m at Grand Central are:
- Eggslut. I like ordering the slut – cage-free coddled egg on top of a smooth potato purée, poached in a glass jar, topped with gray salt and chives, served with slices of baguette.
- Sarita’s Pupuseria. I’m not much of a pork eater so I usually go ahead with the queso pupusa. My friends love the revuelta (pork, beans, and cheese) pupusas.
- McConnell’s Fine Ice Creams. Every once in a while, I do like to have ice cream. I tend to order: double peanut butter chip, pistachio and almond biscotti, or mint chip.
