Cause I see your real face, and it’s ugly as sin
Time to put you in your place, ’cause you’re rotten within
When your patterns start to show
It makes the hatrеd wanna grow outta my veins
TWICE <THIS IS FOR> was the first concert I went to this year, a couple weeks ago in LA. Under normal circumstances, I would have been hella excited but my mood was pretty meh. I kinda wanted to cancel going but then I felt bad because Five Star had been looking forward to it. It’s hard to fully hard to enjoy things when the world is a dumpster fire. Le sigh.

But first, coffee at Alfred. Actually, it was an Americano. Don’t come at me, I stopped drinking coffee a week ago and I’m behind on my posts.
We had dinner at UOVO and shared yellowtail crudo – Japanese yellowtail with red Fresno chili pepper and micro arugula, olive oil, lemon, and blood orange.

Fit check. If I look tired, it’s cause I am. January has been fucking exhausting for me and everyone who lives in this hell on earth. I also had my mom chop off four inches of my hair because I didn’t feel like sitting in a salon for hours. I’m not really concerned at how my hair looks right now since it grows back fast and it’s a lot easier to manage (for now).
Barricade tickets were super expensive, and I also didn’t feel like standing for the whole concert. Usually, Five Star is the one pushing for the closest view but this time, she seemed to be fine with our seats. I got a good deal on them since I bought it during presale and the view was pretty good since they had a 360 stage.

The concert went for nearly three hours with no one opening for them. All nine members were so cute too. My bias is Jeongyeon and Jihyo is the bias wrecker. Four of the members are non-Korean: Momo, Sana, and Mina are Japanese, and Tzuyu is Taiwanese.
Dahyun had an ankle injury so she sat in the chair and sang instead. I was grateful that they didn’t cancel the concert.
The vibe that night was great, everyone was having the time of their lives. Even though I started the night feeling a certain way, somewhere around the middle of the show I realized that I was actually having fun. By the end, I was so happy that I went. It just reminded me that I need to do pleasurable activities even if the country is a burning dumpster.
