What’s the most dramatic thing that’s happened to you last week?
I went over to a friend’s house for a small gathering, and at some point in the evening I ended up getting radiofrequency (RF) microneedling on my face (this is pretty expensive so for her to do it for free was amazing). The needle depth was set to 2.5 mm, which is on the more deeper end for professionals. Microneedling is supposed to stimulate collagen production, boost elastin, and trigger growth factors that support tissue regeneration and improve blood flow to the skin.
Kim K(ardashian) does the vampire microneedling, where you get your blood drawn, spin the blood in a centrifuge to isolate PRP (platelet-rich plasma), and apply it on the skin after microneedling. Well, I can’t do that because I am anemic and I was bleeding anyway because my friend went hella aggressive on my face anyway.
I already use an at-home derma roller on my scalp, paired with growth serums for hair follicle stimulation, but the needle depth is 0.5 mm, which does not not hurt (for me, everyone has their own pain tolerance).
I also worked 72 hours last week. I finally crashed when I got home Saturday night and woke up on Sunday at 1000.
