I finally slept in until it was nearly time to check out at 1100.
My friends wanted to have lunch at Nora’s Italian Cuisine.

There was the endless garlic bread for starters.
Then the calamari. Again for two days straight. Even though it was good, I was getting tired of calamari.

I ordered the lasagna that I ate about half of. They had a large Margherita pizza with chicken. I’m told that their pizza is really good but for whatever reason, I wanted pasta.
Afterward Buddy H took us to to where they hike and rock climb, Red Rock Canyon.

The view was exquisite. It really made me appreciate the scenic desert cliffs, buttes, and rock formations. We drove along the 13 miles loop road and made a few stops along the way.

I can hike but I cannot climb. I don’t have the upper arm strength nor the core for it.
There are also petroglyphs and areas where six different Native American tribes were known to inhabit.

He also told us about the time where he almost died climbing White Rock because he miscalculated how much water to take with him. He developed a heat stroke and became delirious and was nearly 0.5 miles from his car.
I think I’m okay with looking at the beauty of the canyons from afar.
By this point, I was getting a bit nauseous from the motion sickness. The road was windy and I didn’t take my Dramamine because I was not expecting to go to this conservation area.
I was dropped off at the airport three hours before my flight departure.
Why? Because I like being at the aiport hella early. Yes, I am that person.

Secondly, I have time to make the most of the Centurion lounge. Luckily, there was no waitlist and I was able to get in right away.
I’ve never been to this lounge before because the other times that I’ve been at the Harry Reid International Airport, it was super busy and long lines to get in despite there being plenty of seating.
When I got there, I had a cup of coffee and charged my phone. I checked my work e-mails and then decided that I should eat dinner since it was getting late. I had the chicken marsala, mashed potatoes, carrot ginger soup, roasted carrot, and Earl Grey London Fog brownie.

I left the lounge about 20 minutes before boarding. When I arrived at the gate, I realized that Southwest had change gates from C to B, which was on the other side of the terminal. I ran with my luggage to gate B and made it just in time to stand in the queue to board. Normally, I allow updates on the SW app to notify me of any changes but for whatever reason, I didn’t do it this time. Rookie mistake. At least I didn’t miss my flight…
Side note: there were TONS of people hacking up a lung on the plane. Adults and children. I pulled on a face mask and wiped everything down with disinfectant wipes. I refuse to get diseased by people who do not want to wear masks when they’re ill. The way people were coughing, it sounded like they had bronchitis and/or pneumonia.
