We had a serious hankering for burgers. Whenever I start craving meat like this, it’s usually a sign that my iron levels are tanking.
When it comes to burgers, I love me some smash burgers. It’s all about those crispy, lacy edges where the patty basically fries itself on the griddle.
My friend suggested Tanner’s Prime Burgers, which is Michelin recognized. It’s a w for me. We headed down to the five in the morning and we were the first ones there when they opened.

I was happy that they cut the burgers for us to share.

We ordered a regular double and a dirty double. The dirty double came loaded with chopped peppers to make it spicy and it definitely did not disappoint. I liked both but if I had to choose, I would pick the dirty double. The regular double tasted like an elevated In-n-Out burger. The burgers were juicy, messy, and flavorful. We also shared an order of tallow fries, perfectly crisp on the outside, just how fries should be.
By the time we finished eating, I was hella full. I almost had to be rolled outta there. No regrets though.
