LINK: still raining
When I saw that Rain was performing in Southern California, I didn’t even hesitate when my friend asked if I wanted to go. Last year, he performed in Vegas on Thanksgiving so I couldn’t go.
Rain is one of the OG first gen K-pop legends. He was known for his physique, choreography, and acting career. He starred in Ninja Assassin and a bunch of K-dramas.
Since the concert was at Yaamava’ Casino, we decided to grab reservations at the Serrano buffet. As luck would have it, it just so happened to be lobster night. The Palms Casino and Yaamava’ are both owned by the San Manuel tribe, so my loyalty card worked there too and we got 10% off.
Between the two of us, we demolished ten lobster tails and two whole lobsters. I had mine dipped in spicy butter, which was a game changer. We were determined to get our money’s worth. NGL, after we finished, we had to walk around the casino for an hour before our stomachs could settle. My stomach was NOT happy with me, I’ll tell you that without going too much into detail. My friend was fine. I don’t think my body’s used to all that butter. UGH.

Fun Fact: He is managed by JYP Entertainment, same company as Stray Kids, Twice, Itzy, Nmixx, and 2PM. I’m sure JYP manages other artists but I can’t think of the rest off the top of my head.

He spent nearly 90% on the concert shirtless. I mean… I would too if I had his body. LOL.
There were a lot of Boomers, Gen X, Millennials, and Gen Zs at the concert. The guy next to us was Chinese and he kept screaming his head off. Most people would find it annoying but I was LMAO.
Side note: My mom really likes Rain. She actually bumped into him at a grocery store once and said that he was quite nice. I guess he has a house in Southern California, which would mean that there’s more opportunities to bump into him.
