I’m a stan for many K-pop, Latin, and American singers/artists for many reasons:
- they care about their fans
- are genuinely talented
- they give it 100, going from trainee to debuting
- amazing performances
- aesthetics
- emotional connection using social psychology
- diverse content
- the fandom itself
Congratulations to SKZ (AKA Stray Kids on winning album of the year at the MAMA Awards 2025). The MAMA Awards is comparable to the Grammy Awards but specifically K-pop and Asian music.
I was fortunate enough to see them perform in Los Angeles and Washington D.C. this year.
A colleague went to Gong cha to get me and Maria ube milk bobas and Felix keychains. She knows that Felix is our bias.
An ARMY friend stopped by work to give me a red bandana, bracelet that says WWH, and a sticker because it’s going to be Jin’s birthday on the 4th. Jin had worn a red bandana while performing in the past, hence that is why she gave it to me. At first, I was confused and wondered if she thought I was reppin’ the Bloods.
