LINK: sisterhood of the traveling journal
I used to journal quite a bit when I quit blogging, but over the years it’s slipped to the back burner. Life got busy. But a few weeks ago, several of my friends asked if I wanted to join their “Sisterhood of the Traveling Journal,” and I said yes even though I’ve never seen The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. The concept is the same thoughβexcept instead of jeans magically fitting everyone, we pass around our journals across nine people in different states.
Every two weeks, someone gets a turn with a different journal. We’re supposed to add a couple of pagesβdoodles, prompts, collages, challenges, whatever basically sparks joyβand then mail it to the next person. It seems pretty wholesome and kinda nostalgic, sorta like having pen pals?

This is what I have so far: Stray Kids spread (not done yet) and some chibi drawings my friend did of me. I’m not good at drawing or painting (that’s my mom’s thing), so I’m forced to use what I have on handβmagazines, Pepero boxes, stickers, stationery, photos, and whatever else I can think of. It’s a little intimidating too since most of my friends are artists, but we’ll see what happens.
Apparently this whole traveling-journal thing is blowing up on TikTok. When my journal finally makes its way back to me, I’ll def share how it turns out. I’m kinda excited to see what everyone creates on these blank pages.
Have you done anything like this before?
