I didn’t have any CDs until recently.

A friend of mine showed up with two full bags of K-pop CDs she’d somehow accumulated. These are current artists and brand new CDs. People bought them to get the exclusive K-pop idol photo cards and dumped everything else. She’s a hardcore BTS loyalist so everything else was basically clutter for her. But me? I love all sorts of different K-pop artists. When she gave me these bags, it felt like Christmas.

The only problem: storage.

I didn’t want two bags sitting out, unorganized. And I def didn’t want to display a hundred jewel cases either. So I got an inexpensive CD storage binder on Amazon that holds 96 CDs and cost less than $10. I’ll be honest, the binder is fucking ugly but it does the job.

I would love to store them like this (above), but I don’t have the space for all that.

If you have CDs, how do you store them?

My next problem is… I need a CD player. SMH. Any suggestions?

    I used to store my CDs in their cases and I had a CD storer that stored the CDs for me. A place to get a CD player, maybe look on Craigslist or Google CD players and see what it comes up with. You might be able to get one for cheap if they still have them at Walmart. Hopefully you find one, since you like that music a lot. It is pretty good though.

    All my CDs are in a box.

    In a closet.

    With a few exceptions that are in rotation.

    As for a CD player?

    You can get a USB CDROM for your computer and it will pay discs…on your computer. Probably $15-20 bucks

    But I recommend going to a thrift shop or on eBay and getting a 90s or early 2000s name-brand player. There’s lots of Chinese junk out there that will work, but the old stuff (if working) is better built.

    Just be glad you didn’t live through the progression from albums to 8 tacks to cassette tapes to CD’s only to find out all of them had become obsolete!

      A lot of artists are doing vinyls, like a bunch of kpop artists, Taylor swift, Olivia Rodrigo, Billie Eilish and more… so it’s coming back! Idk about 8 tracks tho…

    I have CD’s and DVD’s kept in black binders..we have a semi smart tv with hook ups for our Chrome Key abd a top load built in dvd player that also plays cds

    Ya! You can get a cheap costing ghetto blaster style cd player reaaaally cheap, pawn shop maybe? But pawn shop=yawn shop quali. Amazon maybe? A binder with plastic sleeves worked best for me Ro.😁

    I have over 400 CDs in boxes. I rummage through the disorganized mess. I recently bought a discman on amazon for 50 bucks so I could listen to them. It makes no sense since I just can listen to them on Spotify, but there something about reading the liner notes and seeing the artwork while listening that sends me back in time.

    We disposed of our CDs a few years ago since they’re so old, wouldn’t be usable. We don’t have a cd player anymore.

    At first I thought that was another of your organizing skills, with the lovely white cabinet, then you burst my bubble 😆

    I store my music cd collection in a couple of beautiful Find It Media Binders. The pictures are in my CDs And Things blog on WordPress. Just click the cd collections tag to see them. Happy listening. 💿
