i can’t get no satisfaction

LINK: i can’t get no satisfaction

Imagine your life in 10 years is similar to your current daily life. Would you be satisfied?

Prompt snagged from: TCMC

Hell to the N-O. I wouldn’t be satisfied. That would mean I hadn’t grown—that all my dreams, plans, and lessons became stagnant. It would mean the world hadn’t evolved either, that we’re stuck in the same broken loop of burnout, inequality, and apathy.

I’ll be damned if ten years from now I’m still watching healthcare crumble under its own weight, or seeing people struggle to afford groceries while billionaires buy their way out of consequences. I’d be damned if we’re still erasing people, their histories, their voices—all in the name of profit and power.

I want more. Not just for me, but for everyone. I want a world where basic needs aren’t luxuries, where kindness isn’t a lost art, and where humanity doesn’t feel like it’s in a clearance bin.

I wanna look back and know that I did something. That I lived with intention. That I took risks, evolved, and kept curiosity alive—because staying at a standstill feels like decay to me.

I want this too, Rojie: “I want a world where basic needs aren’t luxuries,”. I love your reflections. It is heartfelt.

I think as soon as we get rid of trump, we can get Healthcare on the right track. He is the one that took away medicaid and that is major. I don’t think he will be elected again. I hope not. He will be in his eighties. Let’s cross our fingers He won’t be elected.

Hopefully not. I think he will be just like trump.

I think we all want to leave the world a better place than we found it- that is why it is so hard for me to accept that people are actually rooting for racism, division and the right of the ruling class to become richer. It makes absolutely no sense to me.

I love this response. When I saw the prompt you were replying to I felt the same way. No, I would not be satisfied. Change for me is growth.

Recently, I have been thinking that I wanted more for myself, and that I am ready for the responsibility to build something that is my own. Not only that, I was just talking about “something has got to change for the better,” there’s so much going on nowadays. The world can’t keep going like it is without continuing to crumbling. Still water goes stale. We need to adapt!

    Keep working on your dreams!

For me, it depends on whether or not I’m convicted, and if I am, how long the sentence is this time.

If, 10 years from now, things are exactly where they currently are, then I’d argue that it’s a win because I fully expect things to be much worse in a decade…
