Did y’all download the latest version of Jetpack? What are your thoughts on the new stats?
I also see that my numbers decreased. Well, it is what it is.
I just updated to the new iOS 26 and there’s a lot packed into this release. I haven’t explored everything yet, but I think I’ll be able to acclimate pretty well with the changes.
While some of the tools are cool, I’ve already shut off a few. I don’t want them eating up my battery and TBH, I doubt I’d use them much anyway.
Still, a couple of features caught my eye:
- FaceTime with live translation captions
- AI call screening, unknown numbers will be transcribed in real time.
- Siri upgrades. I can toggle between typing and speaking seamlessly, this will be handy if I’m driving.
- Custom emojis (genmoji). I’m here for it.
That said, I’m on the fence about letting AI dig through all my apps. The idea that I could ask, “What’s the address Alex sent me yesterday?” is convenient but do I really need my phone piecing together that much of my digital life? Hmmm.
I also don’t need AI proofreading my e-mails. I don’t want that. Periodt.
I’ll keep tinkering with iOS 26 this week. If you’re curious about how I set up my camera, manage my battery, or tweak my settings, drop a q in the comment and I’ll share what’s working for me.
A two year evolution… well this is going to be fun.
