Working off time
That ratio got us going worldwide (Worldwide)
Thirsty day and night
They put us in the desert but we survive
Busy giving our light
Unlike them, we’re getting all the spotlight, yeah
Listen to the war cry
Karma, karma, karma, karma

I only got two and a half hours of sleep the night before. I had a mountain of work to finish before I could even think about bed. I had to push… through.

It was Krystiana’s birthday and we were celebrating bright and early at 0830. I would have asked to push back the time but I know that the traffic was just gonna get worse as the morning dragged on. I got her two bouquets of flowers and a little MCM bag charm of her fav animal.

She picked & Waffles in Long Beach for breakfast. I know they’re known for their chicken and waffles, but the last thing I wanted at that hour was a heavy, sugary plate.

I went with the basics: scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns, avo, and what felt like an IV drip’s worth of coffee. Krystiana caught me up on her life, mostly about her boyfriend’s surgery and how he’s been driving her car around without even having a license. I tried to keep my face neutral and gently reminded her that there are consequences for that kind of thing and maybe, at the minimum, he should get his permit. People in SoCal drive can drive like assholes and at times and it could be problematic if he were to get in an accident or get pulled over by the police.

We also got to talking about her latest hobby that she shares with her boyfriend. Magic: The Gathering. I have no idea what that is, I was so lost when she was trying to describe these cards to me. I tried to ask chatGPT and look it up on wikipedia but I was still confused… I gave up trying to make sense of it.

After brekkie, I met up with Isabella, two hours later. She wanted to check out a pop-up shop showcasing contemporary Korean 한복 (hanbok) at a Korean store we frequent. There was already a line of people waiting outside the shop.

The designs were beautiful, but nothing really seemed like my style. Isabella, on the other hand, walked out with a skirt and pair of pants. I bought a hair clip with a Norigae tassel attached to it.

After another two hours, Isabella was getting hungry. We ended up at Taco Nazo, which is known for its fish tacos. I ordered two tacos and a jamaica agua fresca, while she went all in with the combo: chips with salsa, rice, and beans. The food just hit right.

After all that, I finally went home, plopped down in front of my laptop again, and got back to work. After I finished my work, somewhere between yawns, I was fine-tuning the deets for the holiday project I wanted to share on my blog. Once I’ve figured out all the logistics, I’ll announce what it is.

Nice pictures of food. The avocado, bacon, eggs, and hash browns looks delicious. Also the fish tacos look scrumptious as well.

Is hanbok hard to wear ? I was curious 😆

    1. justrojie Avatar

It’s not comfortable lol and there are a lot of pieces. The material is not flexible either but it hides a lot 😆 of fat so it’s good in that sense. It def hides more than a saree 😂

Lol saree does shows the waist thought……hmmm not everytime….it depends on the person if they want to show it or not 😂, but draping it is hard 😂. I wonder if people feel hot in hanbok 🤔.

It’s def hot 😂. I think sarees are pretty and versatile
