My dad was a Sagittarius, and true to form, he’d get over things fast. He had a short temper and would snap, maybe rant a little, but by the next morning? It’s like he had amnesia.
My mom, though? Pisces. The master of silent treatment. I’d say something that rubbed her the wrong way, and suddenly I was talking to air. She’d leave the room mid-sentence, close her door, and that was that. Sometimes she wouldn’t acknowledge me for days, even weeks.
And then there’s my brother, a Cancer and oof, he holds a grudge like he’s drafting a novel. He’s the type to scheme, to wait, to plan. His revenge arcs were so drawn out that by the time he made his move, I had already forgotten what started it. I’d be like, “Why are you doing this?” and he’d hit me with, “Remember what you said on March 14th?” Really, dude?
Meanwhile, I’m a Gemini. Give it a minute or two and I’ve moved on. Not because I don’t care, but because I don’t have the bandwidth. Being angry makes me feel like crap and I think that life is just too short for shenanigans.
Yeah… it’s like that in my family. Emotional whiplash.
