Yeah, this train never sleeps
Brace yourself, take a seat
Don’t you care about the casualties, casualties
‘Cause it’s safe when it’s just you and me, you and me

I finally tried Crumbl cookies for the first time the other day. I prefer savory over sweet. But people have been raving about them, so I figured, why not? They were goodβdense, sweet, and definitely indulgentβbut I gotta say, they still donβt beat Levain Bakery for me. Levain has that gooey-meets-crispy magic thatβs hard to beat.
A coworker brought in a box and cut the cookies into bite-sized pieces, which was smart because those things are massive. I popped a couple of pieces in my mouth and thought, okay yeah, this is pretty decadent.
Then I made the mistake of looking up and checking the nutrition info on their site. I stared at the numbers in disbeliefβcalories, cholesterol, sodium, sugar, carbsβ¦ and quietly muttered to myself, βwhat the actual fuck.β Itβs like they managed to compress an entire dayβs worth of bad decisions into a single cookie. Weβre talking 700 to 910 calories per cookie. PER. MF. COOKIE. And everything else on that label? Just as criminal. Itβs basically a salt and sugar bomb disguised as a cute dessert.
Thank god my coworker sliced them into eighths. I had two pieces and then slid the rest over to my assistant, whoβd mentioned she wanted to try them.
Delicious? Yes. Dangerous? Also yes. Proceed with caution.
