Currently watching: Kpop Demon Hunters on Netflix
I started watching this movie a few days ago but didn’t finish it yet, if you’re into anime + Kpop, I would highly recommend it. My bias is Baby Saja, who was inspired by Jimin from BTS.
Woke up with a headache. My first thought was to chug water, but I didn’t have any ibuprofen on hand, so I reached for what I had available in my backpack. DayQuil. Each capsule has 325 mg of acetaminophen, so I figured it would take the edge off. And it actually helped a little. I took a shower, got dressed, and made coffee in the hotel room… but it was gross. Bitter and weirdly sour.
I ended up crashing again and woke up at 1000 which meant I got close to 13 hours of sleep. It was absolutely glorious. My body clearly needed it.
Once I was up for real, I headed downstairs to Starbucks and grabbed their jalapeño chicken pocket. Pretty decent.
Then we drove out to Pop Mart in Maryland—about an hour away—but they didn’t have any plushies in stock, which low-key sucked but also saved us some money, so maybe that was a win. I already have a bunch of Labubus but I really want the Angel in Clouds Zimomo.
After that, we grabbed lunch at Panda Express. I hadn’t had it in forever. The cream cheese wontons are still delicious.
Later on, we drove another hour and a half to a K-pop event to Virginia from Maryland. We wanted to check out the merch before the concert. I picked up a Felix fan and a Kooky keychain—cute additions to the collection. Afterward, we headed back to her place to chill, catch up, and hang out until dinner.
I tried Five Guys for the first time. The burger was solid but the fries? Mid. For me, it doesn’t top In-N-Out, but it’s definitely a step up from McDonald’s.
Back at the hotel at 2200, I called the front desk to request more coffee supplies. I made myself a fresh one and finally felt halfway human again… until my laptop started acting up. I ended up on the phone with IT for an hour trying to troubleshoot. Once that was settled, I buckled down, did my work, and eventually passed out around 430ish.
