tl;dr

Currently listening to: Everytime We Touch – Cascada

‘Cause every time we touch, I get this feeling.
And every time we kiss, I swear I could fly.
Can’t you feel my heart beat fast?
I want this to last.
Need you by my side.

tl;dr. Too long; didn’t read.

I have the attention span of a 3-year-old on a sugar high. I don’t know if I’m even capable of reading full books anymore.

At work, I’m interrupted in person, on the phone, text, or TEAMS. There is constant stimulation that I’m always… on it.

At best, I can make it through a longer blog post, but only if it’s a topic I care about or it’s written by someone I already like. Otherwise, forget it.

My colleagues love to text me news articles and long reads, and half the time my response is just: “tl;dr.” They’ve pretty much caught on by now and will hit me back with a Cliff Notes version, which I appreciate. If the summary actually interests me, then I’ll go back and read the whole thing. But if not, I’ll just hit them with a thumbs up emoji to show I’ve acknowledged it.

With that being said, I did download two books on my computer. I’ll do my best to read them but there’s no guarantee. It’s a shame because I used to love to read. Now, I’m just brain rotting in bed, scrolling away.

It seems too much work, Rojie; hence, you have no time to spend long hours on screen reading topics you don’t like. It’s understandable.

One is on art and the other is a mystery. I don’t recall the exact names but I’ll get back to you on that 😆

lol u are so true for this ! I have a this problem too , that if the blog is too long , I would be so lazy to read and just like it and move on , sometimes if I think that the person has worked so hard for writing that blog I would comment something like wow , interesting 😂 to show support to the blogger 😂, even sometimes I type a whole damn essay that I think is a blog and then I would be too bored to edit it and read again , so i end up never posting it lol.

      1. ibarynt Avatar

If blogs are too long. I will just skim them. I usually get tired of the droning on and on. If they are interesting I will read it, but seldom. I like to scroll right through the long ones. Am I bad. I don’t know.

I try 😂 that’s all we can do, right?
