I’m still on the fence about going to Jin’s concert. If I do go, I’m def wearing my UofM sweatshirt that’s identical to the one he’s rockin’ in the mv. I saw the setlist and there are a few BTS songs on there. I’m curious if any of the BTS members will show up to his concert.
Anyway, not long after hearing about the India Air plane crash, I woke up to even more heavy news—escalating conflict between Iran and Israel. Is this going to be WW3? At this point, I’m ready for a redo of 2025 or the rapture. Earth is getting ratchet AF.
For fuck’s sake. I watched the footage of the strikes and I’m still trying to process it. There aren’t even words for how frightening it is. Explosions lighting up the sky, cities on edge… and what happened to Israel’s Iron Dome? Did it get disabled somehow? It’s so surreal.
Also, where is the UN in all of this? What are they actually doing besides releasing statements? And 47—how is he claiming he can broker some miracle peace deal when he couldn’t even wrap up the Russia-Ukraine war in the timeframe he bragged about?
Truthfully, none of this was really covered in-depth during my world history classes. We glossed over so much. I don’t know if this is purely religious, political, territorial—or a mix of everything. I’m confused who the allies are for both countries because I thought Saudi Arabia would side with Iran but then I read online that they were backing up Israel? I also find myself not trusting much of the news media anymore either. I definitely can’t trust IG or TikTok.
If anyone understands any of this, please comment. I truly want to comprehend this not for myself but also for my patients because I get the feeling come Monday, I’ll have a different set of patient demographics who will need to talk/vent about what is going on with their countries/people.
P.S. don’t even get me started on what happened in Minnesota. What the actual fuck? The country has gone feral.
