My mom’s been bugging me about finding her an Easter Lily plant for church. Her sciatica’s been flaring up again, and she asked me to go out and get one for her — naturally, at the last minute, as I was headed out the door. Classic.
I ended up going to three different stores before I finally found one at Ralph’s. I got one of the few remaining. I’m just glad I was able to find it so she wouldn’t go to church empty handed.
She never listens when I tell her about her posture — not that I’m one to talk. But it’s that cycle: her problem becomes my problem, and I just handle it because… that’s what we do for the people we love.
Meanwhile, I’ve been trying to catch up on life today. It’s been one of those non-stop weeks, and to top it all off, the monthly woman disease hit. So naturally, I’ve been in full sloth mode. Energy? I don’t know her. Just me, my heating pad, and the eternal question: why can’t men bleed monthly instead?
