On Thursday, my work bruh asked if I wanted to join a Super Bowl fantasy pool. I was like, sure, why not? He handed me a sheet to put my name on, and since I was one of the last people to sign up, I just randomly picked boxes. It’s not like I understood how it worked anyway. I handed him my $10 entry fee and didn’t think much of it.
Fast forward to Sunday night after the Super Bowl. He texted me, saying I won. Naturally, I thought he was messing with me. I told him to quit playing—I wanted the Chiefs to win, but they didn’t, so as far as I was concerned, that was the end of it.
Then Monday rolls around, and he hits me up on TEAMS, telling me I legit won $55. Apparently, three other people split the remaining $45 from the $100 pot. Beginner’s luck at its finest?
Now, he won’t stop sending me links to gamble online. Nah, bruh… that’s where I draw the line.
