- My mom asked me to get her a pair of Hoka since her older friends have been sporting them. I almost died laughing when she asked me. Here we go again with the boomer shoes. I miss my Brooks already.
- Booked a three night stay with Hilton in D.C. using Amex’s 1:2 points transfer deal. Not a 5 star hotel, but I only needed a place to sleep and I only had to pay for a night’s stay instead of three. TikTok and IG have been teaching me all sorts of ways to leverage my points and I’m here for it.
- I put two friends, Krystiana and Rosie, on ice. On Friday, Rosie canceled plans with me for the third time. I’m done playing Tetris with my schedule to accommodate her. I’ve muted them on my socials and I’m okay with that.
- People who have been affected by the Palisades fire are trickling into my area. I wonder if this will skyrocket our property taxes, which is already astronomical.
- TikTokers fled to Rednote because of the ban (now lifted, BTW). They were shocked by how blunt the Chinese people were. Personally, I felt seen. Now, they can share generational trauma drama with me now.
- I was extremely grateful to have MLK Jr Day off. I don’t think I’ve ever had it off since entering the workforce. My mom actually used to work at MLK hospital in South Los Angeles aka South Central. It’s funny how people give me respect when they hear that I was born in the hood.
- The Maldives’ state religion is Islam, so no bikinis are allowed outside the resort. I hope the one-piece I got from Victoria’s Secret looks okay. It’s basic and black.
