Currently listening to: Stay – Lisa Loeb
I didn’t know that Ethan Hawke directed the mv.
You said you caught me ’cause you want me
And one day you’d let me go
You try to give away a keeper
But keep me ’cause you know
You’re just so scared to lose
And you say, stay
Can’t believe that in a few days, it’ll be November…
- the clothes that I ordered got lost so they’re sending another shipment. It looks like it’s coming from China? Anyway, hopefully there won’t be further issues but at least I used my Amex and they’ve got excellent customer service.
- I’ll be attending two symposiums in the upcoming month.
- my second job dumped an obnoxious amount of work in my inbasket. I had to cancel my travel plans for this month. Good thing it was refundable. I’m going to have to find another time to go on vacay. Le sigh.
- I bought a wig that’s supposed to resemble Kanroji Mitsuri but it’s not giving. I’ll definitely have to change my makeup style and clothes. I’ll have to fix the wig and trim more of the bangs. IDK if I can pull off the fit though cause I don’t have big boobs.
- I managed to get blisters on my toes but that’s what happens when I use the elliptical and treadmills instead of going outside to run. I won’t be wearing any heels for a bit till these blisters resolve.
- coworker got me this bottle from Costco. Instead of ice, I’ve been using hot water because I don’t like cold drinks. It’s been giving me life lately. One bottle makes three large cups of Vietnamese coffee.
- it’s been a minute since I’ve been told to go to the court house for jury duty. Usually, I’ve had to call in and then get dismissed by Thursday but not this time. I might actually catch a case, we’ll see.
- my non-Korean colleague got me the spicy Korean noodles (Buldak), which I’ve never tried before. I might have to try it on my gluten free cheat day. It might burn me twice, when I eat it and when I go to the bathroom.
- been using red light therapy for my face and scalp. Anything to improve my skin appearance and promote hair growth. It’s gotta be at least 660 nm wavelength to be absorbed into the skin tissue.
- facts. Millennials and Gen Zers are now helicopter parenting their parents. I’m using Find My to keep tabs on my mom and her whereabouts. It’s super helpful if I’m out of town and reassuring knowing where she is since she’s not good with tech. I have a handful of coworkers ages 24-36 years old who are not tech savvy at all. I teach them the latest and greatest since I’m a super user at work. A group of friends wanted to add one another to their Find My but I kindly opted out. They don’t need to know what kind of shenanigans I’ve gotten myself into.
