I got this in my email the other day from WP.
I was wondering if anyone has done this affiliate program? If so, what was your experience? Is it worth it?

I did google it and it seems legit? Automattic Inc. is an American global distributed company which was founded in August 2005 and is most notable for WordPress.com (a freemium blogging service), as well as its contributions to WordPress (an open source blogging software). The company’s name is a play on founder Matt Mullenweg’s first name and the word “automatic”.[2]

Then, instead of clicking on a link in an email. I would suggest going to their site and talking with them directly, stating that you received the message. Your site is poppy and mainstream, which might attract a larger following, but so are a lot of them. I wish you good luck! Take care!

Be careful and make sure it’s not Spam. I haven’t seen an email from WordPress.

I did also look it up too. https://wordpress.com/affiliates/ and it seems like it is a thing?
There also seems to be static between these companies too… wp engine, wp, Automattic

It’s legitimate and this program is new so it’s unlikely that anyone can give you details. You can try it and then tell us all if it works for you 🙂
