Currently watching: Sheng Wang Sweet & Juicy (on Netflix).  It’s a slow burn but funny nevertheless.

Your life without a computer: what does it look like?

I’m gonna say that it would be boring AF. Things would be at a much slower-paced lifestyle, that’s for sure. I wouldn’t even know that any of you lovely people existed if it wasn’t for the worldwide web. I’d have to wait eons for people to write me a letter via USPS and hope they don’t deliver it to the wrong address. I’d never travel because I wouldn’t know how to buy plane tickets. I’d be forever lost because I can’t figure out a Thomas Guide to save my life. Go two blocks north? I’m done for already.

Health care would be at a standstill because no one could ever read anyone’s handwriting. I would probably only have one degree because having access to education online has made things so much more convenient. We wouldn’t know about world affairs or local news instantaneously, which could potentially jeopardize peoples safety.

I would probably be a pianist or violinist in a symphony. I’d be happy never to deal with Excel ever again. There would definitely be less doom scrolling and maybe I would get more reading and sleeping instead. There would definitely be more outdoor activity like hiking, biking, and such.  I wouldn’t have to worry about hackers and online scammers.  I’d be forced to see my friends and family vis-à-vis and I’m not sure if that would be a good thing or a bad thing…

It would be tough, but I do miss the quieter days of my childhood

I think not knowing what it’s like would have made it easier versus knowing what’s like to have a computer and the internet

D.i.y. magazines…punk music, poetry, comics, art, reviews, opinions..basically blogs before blogs. Hand drawn, hand written, typed, pasted up and photo copied
