Honestly
How could it be like this?
It feels like I’m thirsty
Even if I taste your lips
Oh God, I cannot breathe
How could you do this to me?
I’m out of breath, no oxygen
But you’re burning me, sheesh
What aspects of your cultural heritage are you most proud of or interested?
I often times get confused for being Japanese whenever I go to Little Tokyo or K-Town (Korea Town). My own people don’t know what I am. I can’t blame them though. I love all things that are kawaii, especially Sanrio (my favorite character is Kiromi btw) and own a few wigs too (some for cosplay). I drive a Japanese car versus a Korean car. Sure, Korean cars are high tech but the cars in Korea are far more superior than the ones that are sold in the U.S. I don’t know why but that’s what it is. I also enjoy eating copious amounts of sushi rolls/nigiri, give me all the omakase… please.

K-pop is not just music but also an aesthetic. I’m a BLINK, ARMY, Black Rose, and STAY stan. I heart them all but my bias are Jungkook and Felix. My friends help support the delulu infatuation.

Don’t even get me started on K-foods. I love the stews, noods, rice, veggies, pizzas, dumplings, and chicken dishes. K-BBQ really hit the spot when I need an anemia fix. All the side dishes are so delicious.

And if you want to talk about obsessed… those K-dramas know how to suck me in. I’ve had to put a pause on my K-drama binging because it was taking up too much of my time.
Addendum: K-pop Demon Hunters, anyone?
K-beauty is unrivaled. I have a serious problem with buying products from: COSRX, Sulwhasoo, Dr.Jart+, Medicube, Laneige, Beauty of Joseon, IOPE, and MEDIHEAL. I actually have a little rolling cart full of supplies so when I sit down, I can have them easily accessible to use.
Even though Koreans are hyper-focused on education, eSports has become a respectable hobby/job. The players are often compared to athletes in traditional sports.
And K-pop dancing is fierce, there are so many competition camps that have popped up over the years. I particularly enjoy watching the Korean B-boys.
Korea’s come a long way… from being a third world country to one of most influential countries in healthcare, tech, and other manufacturing goods.
