I will travel for food if it’s good. This restaurant, Sushi Nikkei (sushi with a Peruvian twist), has been bookmarked for a few months and I finally got around to going there with the Veteran. It’s earned a Michelin Guide for 2023.

The dusty roll was more on the sweet and savory side. I did prefer this over the oba roll but found that after a couple of pieces from the dusty roll, I was starting to get full so I had to stop eating this so that I had room for the other items that we ordered.

Acebichado: crispy shrimp, avo topped with tuna acebichado sauce, togarashi, green onion.

Hands down, the Asian shiroma was our favorite from the tasting. I could have eaten four of those alone.Β It was light, fresh, and melted in my mouth.

Oba roll: crispy salmon, avo topped with salmon, parrillera, jalapeΓ±o sauce, chalaquita.
Dusty roll: crispy shrimp, avocado topped with octopus in ninja sauce, parmesan, tare.

Sushi Nikkei tasting – sweet salmon w/parrillera sauce, cream cheese, crispy, tare; tuna power w/parrillera sauce, aji amarillo, chalaquita; parmesan scallops w/parmesan, butter, lemon; and Asian shiromi w/white fish, asian sauce, quinoa pop, lemon
We were disgustingly full. I couldn’t finish the rest of the acebichado roll so I made the Veteran eat the rest.

We somehow managed to order the ice cream mochi (vanilla, strawberry, and chocolate) after eating an ungodly amount of food.
