Why do you blog?
Currently listening to: The More You Ignore Me, The Closer I Get – Morrissey
I am now a central part
Of your mind’s landscape Whether you care or do not Yeah, I’ve made up your mindThe more you ignore me
The closer I get You’re wasting your timeThere are a reasons why I do it:
- memory keeping, although my mind is sharp, one day my memory will go fuzzy and I’d like to have this to reference back to. If I don’t take a pic/video or write about it, did it even really happen?
- I’m naturally a low key person but my mind is loud AF.
- journaling is good for the soul. It’s a cathartic release.
- I’m having a soft come back, I used to blog before but I stopped due to unforeseen circumstances. I think I’ve learned from my past mistakes to make this more enjoyable.
- I also wanted to improve my writing skills. I have different styles and wanted to see which one I felt the most comfortable with.
- as much as I love technology and AI, I want to use my own skillset and mind to create content, authenticity is important to me.
- people have specific niches or they’re an authority on topics. My niche is me. That’s something no one else can have. I can write about me, my experiences, innermost thoughts, and interests. I do enjoy getting feedback and advice from readers as well.
- meeting new people through this community. Like who would have thought that a woman from India would be interested in what I had to write? Or that someone could send me words of encouragement or condolences through this platform? It’s very motivating and uplifting and that’s the kind of positivity I need in my life. BTW, if you enjoy reading, I’d encourage you to check out Reflections by Iba (hope it’s okay that I tagged her).
