In the middle of the night, in the middle of the night
Just call my name, I’m yours to tame
In the middle of the night, in the middle of the night
I’m wide awake, I crave your taste
All night long ’til morning comes
I’m getting what is mine, you gon’ get yours, oh no, ooh
In the middle of the night, in the middle of the night, oh

What’s your favorite time of day?

Nighttime.

I’m a night owl living in an early bird’s world…not by choice.

I seem to be less guarded at night… I’m extremely busy during the daytime to the point where I don’t even have time to go to the bathroom or eat my lunch. I also have revenge sleep procrastination, I want to unwind and enjoy what little time I have before going back to the grind.

I love the mystery of the night.

The crisp air, cool breeze blowing into the windows.

Sweater weather, wearing multiple layers of clothing to only slowly peel them off throughout the night till it’s time to go to sleep.

I like the early morning. It’s a quiet and peaceful time, perfect for reflection and getting a head start on the day.

I think I’m an early bird in a little community who wants to savour a little darkness in the morning.🤭

We’re opposite, but how interesting that we connected here in some similar way.

When it’s night here, it’s probably my morning there?

        Yes, I think we’re 13 hours ahead here. You’re awake and I’m awake because you’re a night owl.🤩

Julie, your words beautifully capture the essence of being a night owl in a daytime-driven world. The way you describe the night’s mystery, the crisp air, and the peaceful atmosphere truly paints a vivid picture of serenity. I can feel the struggle of balancing daytime demands with the longing for personal freedom at night, and your honesty about “revenge sleep procrastination” makes the piece deeply relatable. The imagery of sweaters and peeling layers adds charm and warmth to your reflections. In conclusion, your writing not only highlights the beauty of the night but also your own unique perspective—absolutely wonderful, Julie!
