What strategies do you use to maintain your health and well-being?

For me, there are several things that I do to maintain some sort of balance. I also believe in karma so I don’t get riled up when people have wronged me.

“Even chance meetings … are the result of karma. …things in life are fated by our previous lives. That even in the smallest events there’s no such thing as coincidence.” —Haruki Murakami

  1. I don’t know if this is a good thing or a bad thing but watching movies or binging shows.  I’m immediately transported into another world, where I can forget my stressors for the next couple of hours and enjoy the fantasy world.
  2. 딸딸이 or sex, copious amounts, release the dopamine, endorphins, and oxytocin.  To the point where I pass out blissfully.
  3. Blogging + reading.  I didn’t realize how much I missed it.  It gives me something to look forward to at the end of my day.
  4. Eating incredible foods.  I prefer to have a bite of various foods instead of indulging in just one or two dishes.
  5. Exercise.  I hate doing it but it does provide me with energy and a sense of satisfaction, especially when I see the scale trending downward.
  6. Listening to music or going to concerts.  As a former concert pianist, this is a must for me.  I appreciate all genres of music.
  7. Spending time with family and friends.  Even though I’m an introvert, I think having that connection is so imperative.  I don’t know what I’d do without them.
  8. Sleep.  I L-O-V-E to sleep.  I could hibernate for hours on end.  I feel rejuvenated whenever I wake up after being in a semi-coma.
  9. Going to spas for massages or skin care sessions.  I also have skin care parties with friends and I have quite a plethora of K-beauty products that I use at home.
  10. Cleanliness and being organized.  I cannot function when things are messy or disorganized.  I’ve been told that my workspace and home look like a museum.
